Just started hunting today saw 4 doe plus fawns and a 1.5 old walk with in 3 yards of my blind and a different small buck evening and one shooter in morning

I went out this morning and I saw seven deer but I didn’t see any bucks and they didn’t come too close but I’m about to head back out for an afternoon hunt. The temperature is dropping down here about eight degrees this afternoon so I think they will be coming out this evening to move so hopefully I have the same results as you haha

Looking great! I hunt in the sands area as well, but closer to LaCrosse. It's tough growing stuff in that sand! We had manure spread on the small plots this year, so next year the landowner will spread lime and grow clover, at least that's what I believe the plan is. Clover typically lasts about two years, then comes back sparcely. He doesn't replant every year like you guys are doing.

I will be in the same general area next week on my first bear hunt staying in Gleason hunting zone c though
