1949 Ford F-1 Engine Exploration

The 1953 Ford F-100 is running with a 1970 Ford 351 Windsor. We're going to run through the steps needed to remove and reinstall the manifold in an effort to eliminate oil leaks around the valley seals.

We are going to see if we can get the 226 Flathead 6 running. However, there is a significant unwelcome surprise lurking under the hood that will likely upend our plans.

This is an abbreviated story of how I dealt with a water pump leak in my old 1953 F-100. This truck is equipped with a Ford 351 Windsor from a 1970 Ford LTD. If you were expecting to see the original Flathead V8, I am sorry to disappoint you. In the hot summers of south Georgia where this truck spent most of its life, those blocks kept cracking.
