Deepwater Horizon: Wellbore Flow Simulation

An animation of the flow simulation for the last 6 hours before the GOM Macondo explosion occurred (April 20, 2010), with notations. This video assumes failure of the bottom hole wiper plug during the initial displacement. An alternate scenario is that the production casing crossover at ~12,500 ft failed.

During a 49ers/Rams football game that Madden is covering, the Navy Blue Angels do a fly over; the reaction is pure Madden.
Only thing missing was a sonic boom.

“They shouldn’t do that during a game” John Madden what a pussy and the “players were disrupted” and “they should go home” really John all you ever did was play a game and are afraid of airplanes mean while these real American hero’s had a little fun. Shows how soft NFL players and “legends” really are.

Watched the Twins win a couple World Series in one while growing up, not to mention all the fun at Vikings games... Sorry, not sorry. I'd take the Metrodome back in a heartbeat over what they got in Minneapolis now...

I attended this game in person. The Blue Angels flyover was completely unexpected and the fans loved it!

I was in the city during the game watching the Blue Angels I missed the game because I thought at the 49ers are going to beat up Rams
Apparently One of the Blue Angels Pilots thought it would be a terrific idea. The Blue Angels Boss said if you get FAA Clearance & Clearance from Candlestick Park then we'll do it. They moved the Blimp Up to 3000ft to give the angels room, sure thing after the Airshow they headed over the Stadium.

Yes, this was definitely planned, the only people who did not know they would get that close were the commentators and crowd. At the same time, even if something is planned, and even if the pilots are professionals, things still have the potential to go wrong. Being an ex-Navy or current Navy pilot does not mean you are immune from disaster or that you don't still need to take precautions.
@@williamafton4427 They got approval from FAA and the park, and moved the blimp so yeah just didn't get relayed to the commentators and crowd.

I was living on Potrero Hill when this happened, and the Blue Angels overflew my place about 20 seconds before they overflew the game on my TV. It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

When our son was going to UC Davis there was a shopping center covered by starlings. The birds would hit the rice fields and then come down to Davis. Pretty bad result on our auto's exterior.
