Hacking a brushless motor into a cordless drill
I had a drill that burnt out and decided to fix it. Eventually I converted it to a powerful brushless motor and increased the RPM. It wasn't as straight forward as I wanted but it came out great! #tools #DIY #RCcar #hack

Saved $8000 fixing my Nissan Leaf gearbox
Переглядів 832 місяці тому
My 2013 Nissan leaf had a control arm and gearbox failure at 120k. Dealer wanted 8k to fix all the damage. Considering I got the car for 12k 10 years ago I wasn't about to total it. Ended up welding a new tooth on the spider gear and got it all fixed for less than $300 #DIY #electricvehicle #cars
Save thousands on helicopter training
Переглядів 582 місяці тому
I built a simple flight simulator to save thousands on the first few hours of helicopter training. I noticed huge improvements in muscle memory and pilot workload during the first 5-6 hours on a VR flight sim between my first and second lesson with an instructor.

@startupchuck can you link the fans you used?
You should try making a plastic injection molding machine. These would sell
YO ! I have been needing to find treads, just like those, but bigger to wrap around my electric meepo skateboard. I want larger treads on each track, and 2 sets. 1 to wrap around the wheels on the left side and another for right side. Where did you find those rubber tracks???
#likeaduck
The big box of motors is a must. I've got a bunch of washer and dryer motors, motors from old appliances, motors from tons of things.
What a great idea! I wish I had a chocolate enrober, but they are expensive equipment But if I have a chocolate fountain, is it possible that you could share the chocolate nozzle design file? Thank you!
good idea, i added a link in the description. cad.onshape.com/documents/3bfc56772c892eebcc49f91e/w/d1747bb61df4f2dbe44cd543/e/d5bdfd3c792e9ed11d578aab
There’s always that excitement when you crack a safe or a jewel/money box. One time my friend who stayed here after a divorce, went to a thrift store and for 3 little money safes. One was army green and heavy the other two were modern and light. I got those open on mere seconds but nothing. Now the army green heavy steel box was a bit more work. 15-20 minutes in I got the lock picked and it opened up. And the heaviness came from coin trays. But when we lifted the coin trays we were met with surprise. There was this bleuish green note that said Reichsbank. We looked at it closer it was a 100 Reichsmark from WW2. So we joked who of us would walk into the bank and bark in a German accent: “please exchange zis fuer euros BIttE!” So the money box must have been from a German soldier stationed here in the Netherlands during the occupation. 100 reichsmark was worth next to nothing 😂
was one of those Chocolate covered crystalized ginger?
You know it!
I make about 600 pb and Oreo balls every Christmas. I’m def showing this video to my husband and telling him this is what I want for Christmas next year. And yes, the air knife was a brilliant add.
Awesome find! A good coolant flush/etch might help that overheating
Good idea!
Yes! Push button to cookie! Conveyor right into my mouth.
Do you have a foot switch on the band saw?
Sure do
This looks like it smelled so good. The air knife was a great idea.
Oh man! That's not going to help the diet!
Hello,''Startup Chuck'' I saw your channel and saw that in your channel have some problems, not many. For these problems your channel is not growing. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. Do you want to know these problem? If you Want to know, I can only tell to you. Can I tell here or email?
Its funny i bougt two on an auction for three bucks and of course batteries are dead. When i took them apart i sat there and thought to myself why couldn't I just modify them to take a 20v and now i know ots possible
Man we have so much in common.. I really want to make a heli setup, and I have these controllers just laying around not being used for regular sim, so I might give your setup a try just to satisfy the desire. There's a flight school just down the road from me that has the R22's. I see you're using the honeycomb yoke... I'm in the middle of building a force feedback yoke based on a really old CH yoke and the Sidewinder joystick. And man, I absolutely hate those updates... completely blow my time that I was hoping to use as sim time.
Cool, good find! Sadly, I'm about to sell my '99.
Oh man the driveshaft! Dumb question, you can't just buy a new gear? Is that not easy to get your hands on? Are you going to pull the ATF fluid after some driving and check for metal on the plug. The towing thing is so sad and annoying.
I might be able to spec the gear and find a similar one. But i couldn't find anything listed as a replacement.
My roomba 765 is a bit newer, 2015 model, but I don't see how anyone was seriously using these... they sucked and not in a good way. It would get stuck constantly, has no intelligence, would constantly push it's own charging base away, etc... horrible device. My 2020 neato botvac d7 was already loads better, would actually clean in a reasonable pattern instead of going around the room like a drunk monkey (that's what the roomba would do). I've got a dreame 10 ultra heat whatever thing now, it's quite a lot better still but it's still stupid enough to suck up stuff such as hair bands that will prevent it from cleaning. Still though, I love this thing, it's properly mopping around my dinner table daily which is a blessing with little kids around. And the neato is still chugging along at times, when it doesn't get stuck. The roomba... I move it back to it's base station probably once every 2 weeks, hoping it will clean something. At least my kids love playing with the buttons on the roomba.
Completely agree, i was put off robot vacs for a while and then got a modern one a couple years ago. Actually worked! Love it.
Poor Romba :-(

👍
That was always on my 'bucket list', but now at 76, and can barely walk; that's not going to happen. So I'm rutting for you! 👍 --- While in the Army in 1971-1972, I got to ride along for the day. That was fantastic!
Thanks! As i am seeing more and more of my older friends regret not doing things while they were younger i have decided to not wait on any bucket list items if at all possible and thank you for serving!
How safe can a cracking robot be? ;)
Impressive! 😂
New sub. Found you through your open a safe video.
That pumpkin reminded me that birds aren't real
😂 nicely done
Could also use a shop vac for the guts
Are you a stationary lamp? How do you see where your going? Add a night vision camera and a mini flat color screen inside the lamp shade.
Why don't you remove each key that opens a deposit bag so you have less keys to match up to the remaining deposit bags?
Congratulations on making your very own auto-dialer. I wish I could tell you it's new, but it's not. Locksmiths have been using these for years. But it's really cool you made one yourself. Stay safe and legal 👍
Yes, you are right, a James Bond movie actually featured it, with Lazenby, "her majesty's secret service"?
Wanna make me one
It seems everyone who builds a machine now days calls it a Robot. I built a machine that finds the combination to Master locks made from FischerTechnik parts. You can see it on my channel.
Did you say 500G? I think you're off by a bit, a washing machine gets up to 5G to maybe 10G or so. With regards to destroying the washing machine, shouldn't it have sensors for balance? I know mine tries to spin the other direction if it detects an inbalance but I'm not sure if that's standard :)
LOL 😅 the thumbnail for this video looks like he's being bummed and he's giving the 👍 thumbs up cus he's enjoying it 👍. ... 😅
"Clicks" always cracks me up.
I’m getting mad, that after building a cool project, you didn’t leave the working keys and their bags together.
Ok. Not really mad, more surprised.
I really hate to point out the obvious, but if you bought the safe and it's not bolted down to the floor, then all you have to do to retrieve any loose contents is turn it upside down and work the deposit cylinder a few times, and whatever is inside will drop out. I'm a locksmith and I've had to do a couple of jobs with deposit safes where this was the simplest solution, once to retrieve a mobile phone, and the second time was to get the keys for the safe itself that a disgruntled ex employee had deposited in the safe.
I get it, but half of the fun is building the robot though :)
@@WoLpH Fair enough, I didn't mean to disparage your marvelous building skills, nice work on the robot by the way :)
I always thought u were trying to preserve the juices in a steak, not get them out. Only patting dry the surface so you get a good sear. Interesting experiment nonetheless. People are going to see their washers and dryers differently after this. 😂
I love your "Never say die" attitude. Add in your electronic skills, microprocessor programming skills, 3D printer skills, CAD design software skills... Great video!
Great job
Leaving off the 'stripper' music would be nice! errffff! Nope, can't hang around, CAN'T handle that crap called music!!
Distracted by video sound being out of sync
Yeah it was one of my earlier videos and it was sabotaged by bad equipment
Reminds me of that Gilraldo special on Al Capone's vault. Best way to support your channel might be to start making those for sale. They’re getting about 5k for them. I’ll take one 😀
Nice design, BUT- awful music!!
yeah... it was an odd choice now that i watch it again.
The picture of the dog on the wall is crooked. Seriously distracting. Also? You drone a bit in front of the camera, as though you're reading from a TelePrompTer.
I am not sure if anybody else experienced this but the Audio was out of sync. interesting video
Pretty cool! Next time give us some beauty shots of the finished thing :D
What'd you do to counter balance?
