Just wonder how Mozart uses the counterlines in a way his contemporaries couldn't. It's not simple for me. It's simple to listen but very difficult to write.
Wonderful. Did you write this down from the score? Btw i can easily see how proper composers can convert each 10 second into a music
Thank you for watching! This is not made by me, but one of my closed friends.
@@karlolewandowski Hello I also say that I have saved many ideas mostly half complete but currently working on a Piano Quartet. I will see how it sounds. Again it's a fusion of modern and ancient (mostly due to my lack of Counterpoint knowledge).
Wonderful work ! How do you turn your improvisation into notes ?
Thank you for watching! I don't score all the motifs and developments that arise in an improvised performance faithfully, but rather I organize and note what I remember in my head after a few days. Improvisation is a good way for me to come up with new idea. However, it often lacks sophistication and musical fullness. In my thought, if I remember something after a few days, it is likely that I've forgotten all but the most important parts of that, so I compose a piece in this way.
@karlolewandowski Thank you for your reply ! I totally understand what you mean. Your process also requires higher understanding of music. But if there a simple way to get the improvised music in notation we can try to correct and balance it to sound proper.
Love this work ! Atleast 8 different kind of sounds in there!
The only Polish people I know are either composers, named Lewandowski, or both
lol Thank you!
Great as always my friend👏👏👏
Nice composition!
I was scared at 1:17 .
I perpetually envy your ability to write good and well-crafted "normal" music.
Thank you for watching! I perpetually envy your ability to write good and well-crafted "original" music.
@@karlolewandowski Danke! Never forget, though, that in a world of dissonance and "post-"isms, a somewhat conservative idiom is just as original, if not more so, than anything else.
@@emusic4269 Thank you for the reply! I agree with you the criteria for evaluating whether something is original or not depends on where the playing field is set. However, I don't consider my works to be peculiarly unique. I commented because, from my perspective, you works are unique and worthy of praise.
Well constructed, entertaining, and funky. I love it! ^^
Thank you for watching! Glad you like it
who is roy hill?
Thank you for watching! He is one of my close friends and a cooperator in this channel.
Suuuper !!! excelent work !!!
You're uploading pieces at a rapid pace. I will check this one out as well. I'm trying to make a presto movement and used a Galloping motif as well. It's complete 80%. Only correction is needed. One thing I have to fix is transparency. The chords seem to cover the melody.
perfect!! ❤❤
Wonderful Jazzy Siciliano ! Harmonically adventourous.
I have heard this whole music. I salute The sheer expressive power of your music the way you add multiple harmonies/colours and show lots of different styles/techniques!🙂 I could reach only 2/3 colours. Wonderful improvisation. You can build a minor key/Major key Sonata out of these ideas I would love to hear it and sure others will too! The emotional expression is beyond words ! For learning purpose, I will keep a note of this video ! Now I must say that I have taken this motif (dotted) from Mozart's "Non - Piu" Andrai .
I'm glad the suggestion, but I think that it is not what I should be doing. I'll leave the work to you or other person with talents like you. Also, if you are referring to a piece in Le nozze di Figaro, I think "inspired" would be a better word.
@karlolewandowski Thank you for the comments! Right now I am focussing on a number of short preludes and a Sonata presto for piano.
I have checked out your Waltz by the way ! It's excuisite the way sustain and contrasts create a new environment.
Thanks!
Hello Thank you very much for uploading this piece ! I will surely check it out soon !
Thank you for watching! At least as I position it, this is merely a sketch of an idea rather than a compositional work. However, if you have trouble making your own theme-developing, I thought I'd upload it in case there might be some hints for you. There are some parts that are poorly, but if you see something that you think could be used, feel free to use it.
Posting music at a rapid pace ! I will surely hear this music. Keeping notes.
There's a lot in this small piece I should keep notes.
Very very catchy ! Mediaeval in spirit. Also sounds like one of our Sanskrit Chants -"Shiva Tandav Stotra".
Thank you for watching! I had never heard of that song itself, but it has the same rhythm pattern as this piece!
@karlolewandowski Thank you ! It was a surprise for me to see the same motif. Also I want to ask your permission to use this motif as a future composition, i will quote your name .
@@Swaroque Of course, ok.
Very nice Mr Karlo. Really like it. Also This piece could be a tarantella.
Thank you for watching! Glad you like it! Indeed, the rhythm of this piece is similar of the tarantella. However, I didn't compose this piece with tarantella in mind, hence the title Bagatelle.
@@karlolewandowski Yes at the end it doesn't matter the title. Well done my friend. 👏👏👏
reminds me of cihat aşkın's version of bekledim de gelmedin. really good work!
Thank you for watching! I'd never heard of that song, but introduction is certainly similar.
Wow ! I heard this music . Works extremely well, the combination of Baroque and Jazz (American music). I privately made a jazzy "no rules" music with clarinet and piano, it's not Dark/Dissonant. Now I think maybe a Saxophonic accompaniment should be good ! I don't know for sure.
I can’t imagine how long this would take for me to get these rhythms down lol Great work as always! Also, do you know of any good resources to start composing like you? I’ve been looking and I’m kind of at a loss for what to do first. I have considered just using the AP music theory textbook and teaching myself stuff from the 18th century and then moving on, but it’s so expensive.
Thank you for watching! This is my opinion, but the way to learn composition is not just to dabble in theory. It is equally important to analyze the works of various composers (regardless of genre) and make them your own. Of course, in addition to that, it requires trial and error...
It’s kind of jazzy. I love it. We can see your genius clearly through this piece. Polyphony goes hard 🔥👌
Thank you! As you mentioned, I attempted to compose a jazz fugue. There are some passages where I broke traditional fugue rules, but that was intentional. I wanted to compose an entirely new fugue.
Listening to this again.. it’s simple but beautiful brother. I was wondering if I could send you a piece im working on at the moment. I want to see if you like it or not. Do you have an email I could send it to?
Thank you! This is the first time I've received these comments from you. I'd like to attach my email address, but there are possible risks in attaching it on youtube... If you like, I can have it uploaded to the MuseScore site with the "Private" setting and send it to my username as "Invite to view". >my username (MuseScore) : Karlo Lewandowski Or you can comment via DM on Instagram and I'll respond.
I've been mistyping...
Beyond brilliant
Well done Mr Karlo. Really like this etude. 👏👏👏
Thank you for watching! Glad you like it.
Hats off ! Brilliant Ideas. My personal opinion puts winter and snow picture of the Music. I love the figurations and the harmony ! When i write another piano piece I will sure learn from it.
This is god speaking.. amazing brother even though this is an etude it has amazing musicality. And I love the variations that you implement throughout the piece to keep the listener listening.
thanks brother!
Oh brother I envy your compositions
Thank you! I believe you can do as much or more than I can.
Lovely! Something of Both Baroque and Gypsy (The rhythm).
Odd but it tingles me in a pleasant way
So great!!!
Of all your works this doesn't really please me but it's good nonetheless
Thank you for watching! Glad to hear your honest opinion.
Oh wow this is very good! I kinda wanna learn this
Thank you for watching! Glad you like it
Sounds like you took Tchaikovsky’s Slavic march and put it into a baroque style, cool cool
You turned it European lol dang Russian harmony is so dissonant and odd
@@Dylan_1344 lol
Hello will you review one of my recent pieces composed using Software(I posted two) and tell what you think in the comments ?
Sorry, I missed this comment... I think I remember you uploading the orchestral overture...didn't you?
@@karlolewandowski Hello, That was actually an incomplete piece (Just a Summary!) That wasn't complete ! I just posted it in a hurry wrote (Summary in brackets), but since it needs correction (and to Complete)decided upload Later. So I deleted it for now.
@@Swaroque Thank you the reply! I understand. I think the melody and harmony of your compositions work well enough that I don't need to make any suggestions about any of them. However, I think that if you pay more attention to natation, register, and instrumentation, you could compose a more complete piece. I believe you have potential. If you need my opinion on a specific piece, please let me know.
@karlolewandowski Thank you ! Actually The piece I have mind is the Violin-Piano Piece in TWO MOVEMENTS. What I also have in mind is I don't know how to manage development sections ! To develop a melody . You will notice (I don't know) that I just run off with some transitions and don't really Develop a Melody. Mainly because I don't know much about the Harmony. That's what I don't know. Ok I will learn about the instrumentation and what's the problem later. Thanks for the Reply !
You can either Hear the First Movement in the Piano-Violin Piece (Slow movment) or the Piano Transcription ! And give your opinion.
Great Piece! Quite Experimental and Modern.
Extremely beautiful!
Brother these harmonies are so crisp.. where did you learn?
Thank you for watching! This is a difficult question, but I had to answer it, I would say that this piece is influenced by J. Sibelius. If you are going to study this kind of sound, you might want to study his works to discover it.
Dude, this is some amazing stuff. I hope to become as good of a composer as you someday, but I have no clue how. Also, this kinda sounds like Scriabin’s op. 8 etude no 12, which is also in D# minor (and which I think is incredible). Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you!
how do you make pieces so fast!?
Thank you for watching! I wonder too.
Very nice brother
I really enjoy this music and the tone - sounds a bit mediaeval and folk maybe due to the Modes . I love that. Because Folk music is common to all of us. I was listening to some Mediaeval Western music and was surprised it's similarity to Indian. We also use a lot of Pentatonic.
Thank you for watching! That's an interesting opinion.
@karlolewandowski Thank you for the reply ! But I do want to know Did you really use any mediaeval/folk sounds ?
@@Swaroque Thank you for the reply! Neither sound is conscious. However, one thing that comes to mind is that it's inspired by Mussorgsky's works.
Very nice my friend. Really enjoyed this one❤❤
Thank you for watching! Glad you like it.
Very nice and charming waltz really like it 👏👏
