Well, I wasn't really thrilled by the sounds I heard here! Apart from 3 or 4 patches but these are only sound fx, so very easy to do, otherwise I find the sounds of this synth extremely kitsch, cheap and synthetic, not at all realistic at all! It looks like old vst presets from the 2000s haha. But then I don't know him at all, I'm discovering there, I don't know his specs either, I'm simply giving my opinion on what I hear there! But I don't doubt its interest despite everything, like any synth :) But the ad didn't work for me haha Musically
Manatee?
@@TwinCitiesOxygen No, not in this track 😉
@@juhunet how are u feeling about tube manatee after having spent some time with it? Can it Juno? :)I don’t have any analog polys and am tempted by super 6, trigon, or the manatee
@@TwinCitiesOxygen What I really like about the Manatee are the exotic synthesis models. From Fourier synthesis to spectral synthesis, it offers a wide range of sound design options. I'm currently working on a "One Synth-One Song" project. It will be on this channel from October at the latest.
Man fühlt den Herbst richtig 😊
How is the volume level across presets?
@@TwinCitiesOxygen Maximum
Great synth, great sounds, nice sequence!
@@pierrestu6769 yes, it is... 😊
Something about the resonant filter sound isn't speaking to me, although maybe it could be mitigated with settings or the onboard EQ, all the rest of it sounds frankly really cool
Or maybe not? Hard to say, the sound at 16:40 is really lovely
Over priced ! sounds a bit cheap lol Arturia Microfreak blows this way
@@celtislam It sounds the way you want it to sound. The Manatee can play up to 16 voices and can play with MPE. And there's a lot more to it. I've only scratched the surface so far.
Manatee offers many more sound options compared to microFreak due to polyphony, modulation options & built-in effects 😏
@@marzacdev perhaps that's the case but none of that is showcased here, everything in this video sounds cheap
what you mean interesting sound?
@@DJ-Lazy-Lodger Because of UA-cam's post-processing, you might not hear it clearly. But the transients can be edited and made more audible. It's the little details that make it all interesting.
Thanks for the demos! The Manatee is a very special synth. At the moment I am trying very hard to understand all this spectral synthesis stuff and how to work with it.
Sounds interesting! I enjoyed this video! There's alot of new stuff out there that really doesn't interest me but this instrument grabbed my interest right away!
@@ge0rgeharris218 next Video is in progress 😉
Sounds amazingly good 🎉
Yes, that's true. The synthesizer also offers many possibilities for creating very unique sounds. It is very intuitive to use.
Thanks! The Manatee is a great synth. There is very much to explore 🙂
It really is! 🥰
Looks cool!
Oh yes 😊 - i love it
Legal
absolutely 😉
Sehr experimentierfreudig…
Love it-sounds amazing!
Thanks so much!
fairytale flash!
Thank you 😉
Really cool, bravo! I'm thinking of getting one of these, but I'm quite new to programming synths (though I have a lot of music knowledge) and I'm concerned it'll be too complex, given how deep this synth is and menu-divey. How was your experience learning the Blo'?
Thank you for your compliment. It helped me that I have been researching sounds with my modular system for a long time. Then operating the Blofeld seems very logical. And he can always surprise you. An excellent synthesizer with a very good price-performance ratio. Waldorf instruments are really well made.
@@juhunet Thanks, appreciated!
If you already understand the basic structure and signal flow of subtractive synthesis its not that complicated. The mod matrix can be kind of a pain, but it is also insanely powerful and absolutely worth it. The blofeld is hands down the best sounding best equipped digital synth on the market for less than $500 its a no brainer. It is the only digital hardware synth at that price point that can match modern soft synths in terms of capability.
trés intéressant 👍
Merci 😉
JoMoX or Sherman?
definitely Jomox 😜
@@juhunetcool 🎉😊
Sick jam!👍 I've been wanting me a 0-coast myself🎛️🎚️🎧👌 BrAp oN!!¡!✋✌️
The guys from Make Noise do a great job with their devices. 😜
This synth is so underrated
oh yeah i like the CV and gate outputs. With a Eurorack system, the Mono Station opens up new possibilities.
My kinda music yummy
it's extremely fun 😜
hail to thee;-)
🥳
drauf!
Top stuff, no doubt
it is exactly like that. the device is fun
that's cool, love the atmosphere!
Sehr cool mit den schwarzweiß Bildern
Hey, das klingt wie ein freundlicher Bahnübergang 😊
Brilliant
Сложно понять композицию, только слушать .
Это должно быть именно так 😉
Nice
Thank you ☺️
Great stuff, Andreas! Making me mad nostalgic with that 80s vibe!
😃Thank you
What other tools did you use for this? Any kind of external MIDI or is this all written, sequenced, and replayed on the mk2? Very nice stuff
The song was created quite quickly in an afternoon. A few tracks were put together and supplemented with some reverb from my mixer. The Little Nunomo Qun is practical because you can save your own presets. No other MIDI devices were used here - although this would also be possible in principle.
Congrats! These are the best cinematic sounds I heard from a DM12 so far. I got mine half a year ago, and I am happy with it. But although I know how to operate synths like this, I still struggle to make my sounds "cinematic". Thanks for those wonderful examples!
Thanks very much. I'm happy if you like it 😀
Spooky. Nice patch if you made it. I usually cheat and use the scales but you can definitely do more Avant garde stuff. It sounds like you have multiple patterns of different steps playing?
This little synthesizer is full of surprises. The developer maintains the firmware very regularly and the device keeps getting better and more features.
Wow doood
Really enjoying your tunes 🙂 this is soothing my broken soul and body after 2020-2023!
Crazy lol cool visuals too
I really want one of these synth
… and i‘m happy to own these Monstersynth 🥳
@@juhunet it is a monster that's why I never got it:( lol
What brains?
Brains is a copy from Mutable Instruments Plaits. But it has a little bit more Algorithms.
Wow mini set up and kind a self generating tune :-)
I love these little machines 🥰😉
@@juhunet man I went on this mission after my mother died and had some inheritance.. I have tried nearly every groovebox/workstation/sequencer thing and they all sucked it's better to have a few seperates big or small.. you have the best value for money set up and the most mobile. I kinda wish I stuck to that route sometimes but it guess i would eventually get too limiting. Ended up with Waldorf Blofeld, pyramid squarp, sp404mkii.. and the amount of control vs any "all in one", it's like I have the same functionality of a daw, granted it's not the best for transporting! U have the "lite" version, modular over all in one any day!
Check out the bastl kastle yo, I'm gonna pick up one of these MMXX TAPEs, and I also want a que mk2
@@zonochromatica Thank you. That's a cool tip. I've probably been thinking for a year whether a Bastl Kastle will take me further. I also think the Drum Kastle is very good. But I can also do such sounds well with my Eurorack system. I also have the Microgranny from Bastl - I also like to use it very much.
@@juhunet I think the kastle would fit right in, how do you find that the TAPE plays with other instruments? It seems limiting when it only has an audio out, I was hoping you could use it as a sequencer or bitbeat inputted noise
interesting
Oh yes… 😉
Deepmind is really smooth love its sounds
Oh, yes… so many Sweetspots and realy good effects 😃
Coooool!! 🤩🤩🤩
Simple Setup - great Sound 😉
I like it 😊!
Thank you very much. That pleases me... 😀
Groovy
Yes… 😎
Gorgeous tones & texture Andreas !
I take that as a compliment - thank you 😉

Thank you. I sold this synth. I have too much gear 😂😉
