Couple reasons. I like making birdies. Had never played the courses and didn’t know how easy they’d play. I was sharing a caddie with a higher handicap and didn’t need the caddie doing double duty. I really wish the courses had an option between 6400 and 7000. Big gap in the boxes.

I’m all for fixing the green. I’m arguing you should also get to move from a divot. Golf is hard enough. If you roll into a pitch mark on the green, you fix it. Do we really think scores are gonna plummet if people can move out of divots?

@@thegoodmiss most would be too shocked im in the fairway to notice I moved out of a divot - so I guess it’s all relative. “Fairway is best possible outcome off the tee box,” should be outta your vocabulary unless you’re a hack like me.

100% you should be able to at the very least either fix, or if you can, move your ball out of a divot! It's absolutely stupid that you can't! You said it perfectly, if you can fix the green, why can't you fix the divot mark or at least move to the side of it!! Dumb rule for sure! On a good note, I shot a 79 today so that was awesome!!! Fourrrrrrrr

@thegoodmiss ummm, gold is the only sport that make me want to sell my clubs after a terrible round one day, then the very next day go play another 18 and shoot great!! Lol. Sooooooo many ups and downs but I love to play and am getting better day by day! Except for the bad rounds!! I just need to get outta my head on them days cause like you said, it's hard enough as it is. Once you start getting mad, that round is over!!

According to the USGA, you should not post a score to GHIN if you use an AI caddy or device that gives adjusted yardages for slope, wind, etc. including laser rangefinders with slope. Those tools are all against the rules for the USGA. Most people post those scores anyway. The point of the video is that USGA rules are antiquated and they should encourage golfers to use those tools and still post to GHIN.

I don’t believe it’s the AI caddy, per se, that is disallowed. For instance, Arrcos has an AI caddie (a useless one that can’t figure out that you don’t need to hit a 3-wood on a 130 yard approach shot) that has been ruled tournament legal as long as the local rule allowing distance measuring devices is in effect AND the app is put in tournament mode which disables elevation display.

Yep. Biggest defense of this golf course. 10-15mph is a light day out there. Generous fairways and greens though.

I’m using a Foresight GC2 with HMT. It’s solid. Very accurate for ball flight. You just always have a flat lie. 😂🤣

Was hot and humid for sure. Great time. Can’t wait to do it again. I use corded grips for the same reason. When it’s hot and hands are sweaty they are a little easier to hold on to than straight rubber.

It does. You can swipe to the side to get additional info. The Points of Interest (POI) screen gives you distances to key landmarks from your wrist including bunkers. Wait until the new caddie is released hopefully next week. It knows where the trouble is and tells you not just what to hit, but where to aim.

I think i only had one channel of audio working. So if you didn’t have left and right going there is no sound. Lesson learned. Need to make sure the audio is on both stereo channels.
