How we are fixing our sterile apartment dining nook
This nook in particular has daunted us for the past 3 years, but we finally decided it was time to conquer it. If you have any design input we'd love to hear it, just don't be too mean please. The goal of today was to try to narrow down our design direction before diving into transforming this space. We'll see how we do, trying to do this on a super tiny budget kind of scares me, but I'll never back down from a challenge.
Hopefully... not too long from now, the nook will be complete, and we'll be watching back this video from our insanely cozy nook, with great chairs, incredible lighting, and a hug of creativity from the walls. Hopefully :)

A Cozy Coffee Station DIY

We were able to do this DIY for $0 and despite a very rocky start it actually turned around and came out pretty great somehow. We only used scrap wood we had lying around and I think we will use this thing every day. Thank you for watching, we are looking forward to all the projects in store for 2025. Happy New Year!

We made every mistake possible while attempting to customize this Ikea cabinet. I honestly don't know how we made it through to the other side but somehow we did and I think it actually turned out really good, so in the end it was all worth it. A 8 Sq Ft Entryway Makeover

This entryway makeover involved assembling IKEA cabinets which nearly broke me, but we survived. We now have a place for shoes, for keys, for bags, for dog leashes, & for jackets. A 63 Sq Ft Balcony Makeover

We finally finished the balcony, you can tell how long it took us by the basil growth and Jake's beard growth. I think we still want to add more plants but the video had to end at some point, so those will be brought in slowly over time. We built this out of the scrap wood we had sitting in our storage closet, and I don't think we've ever made so many mistakes. FYI, you boil the potatoes with the beats for color, don’t mash the beats in with the potatoes. Pan sear some garlic olive oil, fresh spinach with the pan seared gnocchi (pan sear it in butter and olive oil.)
You have to boil and then pan sear the gnocchi… never eat it raw… come on now
