Sailing our catamaran from islands to reefs, on the incredible Great Barrier Reef and beautiful East Coast of Australia. Snorkeling with graceful sea turtles, large wrasse and rays, unique fish, colorful coral, octopus, sharks, and even underwater statues, as well as so much more.
I visited Australia in 2000 and fell in love with the Australian way and an Australian guy. We set off to travel the world together until eventually residing in a town in the mountains of Canada. We had kids and soon after a family holiday to Australia in 2020 to show our kids where their dad was from, it was decided to sell our house in Canada and move to Australia. Except that when we arrived in Australia we did not buy a house. Instead, we purchased a 40 foot long catamaran, moved aboard and started our family sailing adventure. We are living our dream.
I present various short flicks highlighting some of what we've seen.

2024 Bromley Reef
Where the whale doing a back stroke certainly stole the show at this reef, that is named by a number, 21-056b, so we dubbed it Bromley reef. It is also where we saw our second Nudibranch, which I found a clear picture of on google when I searched for a Cabbage Nudibranch. There were lots of fish, of all sizes, interesting corals, and many areas to explore, which we hardly touched on.

2024 Birthdays at A Special Reef

We were welcomed to this special reef by a whale, and dolphins, then a turtle and a friendly manta ray.
