This guy is doing everything right…coming out on the scene with a viral song, then a few months later releasing a freestyle showcasing his versatility and skill…and now a little while later doing a remix with A$AP Rocky showing he’s not just a one hit wonder - Big Dawgs with something showing much more skill, not just a re-release. Hey, I warned you that it was hard and made sure you knew it was metal of sorts…but yeah, I understand, it is terrifying, especially if you’re not a metal person…mind you, I’m not a metal person either, I just really liked the video, the dancing part…my bad, shouldn’t have recommended it for this channel, I just wasn’t sure how versatile your taste in music could be…apologies. So, the blue lady dancing was a representation of the Hindu goddess Kali, the goddess of destruction and retribution. The blue is symbolic of her dark and menacing presence. Notice my tag name darbykali, those were my two first amazing dogs R.I.P., Kali was a chihuahua who screamed and bit everyone she didn’t like, hence the name was absolutely perfect for her. Funny about the Toronto reaction, I’m in Montreal and there’s always been a little rivalry here. I am so humbled and honoured, thank you so much for playing these two amazing ladies…I am so glad that you liked them, I was pretty sure that you would, you’ve got excellent taste. So just a little context, I am Indian and living in Canada all my life, never really knowing much about Indian culture…I’m older now and wanting to learn more about it all, old and new…I love so many different kinds of music, grew up on rap, hardcore, ska…on a whim, I just wondered what India had aside from Bollywood and that brought me first to Hanumankind…I was in shock and needed to know more so I checked out so many other Indian artists and was so impressed…the Little Simz is mostly an influence from basically living over at my best friend’s house growing up, she was Jamaican and I got very immersed in that life, plus my own ska background. So the past couple of years has just been discovering all this amazing stuff. That said, I have more stuff to recommend to you…don’t worry I’m not expecting it to be reacted to immediately! There is this rapping Indian Folk Metal band, Bloodywood (get it?). As you can see from the description, it’s unique and I should warn you, it’s hard…but it’s incredibly interesting. Hey, thanks for your infectious reaction to Little Simz, she’s been putting out bangers for a long time, five albums and many excellent mixtapes. She’s an independant artist though, so doesn’t get pushed much on mainstream media. I live in Canada and first time I heard her was on a university radio station.
