Stupid Easy Newspapers in Blender
Переглядів 6 тис.9 місяців тому
This is a really simple tutorial of getting that realistic papery look for things made of paper and also things not made of paper (as long as those things are made of paper). Video completed with the assistance of the Newspaper Ghoul, destroyer of tabloids and bringer of 10 monthly readers
The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton

A fan made music video for 'The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton' by The Mountain Goats. Original performance - ua-cam.com/video/t1T1RNgRcoE/v-deo.html (House burning down made in Blender3D, everything else not made in Blender3D) All Hail John Darnielle, creator of the only music I've listened to for the last 2 years

I enjoyed this way more than I should have. Your sense of humor and timing is top notch, and this is one of the more informative blender videos I've seen, as someone who's used blender for over 10 years... Hope to see lots more from you!
You are literally Wheatley, from Portal 2. Subscribed
Seriously doubt that there's a better compliment than that. THANKS
Enjoyed the tutorial. Learned a lot. Thank You.
Great video, loved how you did this and thanks for the info about the leaves, I really didn't know half of what you said, so ya thanks. You have a new subscriber.
No problem! Thanks so much
Please please do not stop making content, i really like the humour
U funny
Good video, dude!
i just got to know the channel and it's fantastic!🤯 and your vibe is very reminiscent of ian hubert. useful information! the free version of the bagapie addon has a similar function, I use it in my videos.
This video looses all its credibility with those weak puns, but they are so mildly average, it's almost refreshing XDD Great info, thanks for sharing, I'll be looking for more in the future.
I love that so much lmao
you earned my sub keep it up
Another good tip is to select your leaves, go into edit mode, and then randomize the leaves. I find that the generated leaves by default are a bit uniform and flat, by randomizing them in edit mode gives them a more of a random natural look. 1st time I have seen your channel, really good presentation, keep up the good work, subbed...
Oh that's a really great tip yeah, Thanks so much!
Amazing vid wow. Road to 100k in a few months will happen.
Ayy thanks so much! Might be a bit slow with uploads as I’m working on a short film right now
Such a well produced and at the same time useful video!
Less than 5k subs 😭😭😭
Thank you A LOT 🔥
you made blender tutorial funny, good job
They all have sky!
I was really wondering how can i do that in blender, Thanks! And olso subscribed (you will need it)
Instead of changing the UVs across all of the planes, just edit the leaf photo in photoshop/photopea so that it perfectly fits the UV square, that way you won't have to adjust the UVs everytime you add more Ivy.
Really useful for creating some abandoned castle renders
Blender: for adult kids
🙌😄
Love your humor. Good stuff
Ivy see what you did there
You win
I think it could be improved by taking a few samples of the same kind of leaf... you'll get different dynamic shapes! In the node editor maybe [Geometry] --Random Per Island--> [Math (Multiply)] --Value--> [MixRGB (Fac)]? I might also add a bit of specularity depending on the leaf, also possibly some crinkliness like your last tutorial
Yes! forsure, I think the best thing you can do is add as much detail as needed for whatever scene it's going to be in. In my experience, IvyGen isn't the best for closeups so I wouldn't recommend going waay over the top with detail but adding what you suggested is definitely a good shout.
also thanks so much for the other comments, really appreciate it!
Dude wtf?? You should have way more subs, you're actually funny lmao
actually can't believe you're this slept on. seriously keep it up and you're gonna hit 10k in no time i promise
Good job mate. Some displacement on the leaves might be good too.
Thanks, yeah totally I think the rule of thumb is to add as much detail which suits your scene. I usually just add a bump texture in and that ‘bumps’ the result up.
@@morgan.vincent Ah right, I meant some displacement to get a bit of random curl on the leaves rather than texture detail. They look a bit straight atm.
@@Stu-32 Oh yeah that too, only thing I would be weary about is you'd have to add more subdivisions to each leaf to get good displacement. especially since IvyGen is no stranger to killing your blender tab as it is
Link please
thanks!
lol
Amazing video, (The title doesn't lie 😊)
Thanks so much!
Thanks Morgan! Awesome Work, my Friend. 👍🏾👍🏾Just what I was looking for.
