So funny, I broke my arm in 2022 - my right arm and I'm a "rightie"..so, I too had to learn to receive through that process. I will say, that that broken bone brought even deeper intimacy and love into our 28 year marriage..our marriage was loving and safe but after that..wow. While listening, I ordered the book. At 62, I'm not done, there's more and I want to remove upper limits and continue to grow personally and professionally. Thank you both for this epidsoe.

I broke the “Fear” cycle! Being afraid of everything, I didn’t want my kids to be paralyzed by fear, so I told my family to not say the word “fear or afraid…to not ask my kids, “Aren’t you afraid of _____?!” My kids are free to travel the world without fear!!! I am proud about breaking the cycle of fear! ☺️

if youre just reading her books youre probably fine but if you know this person pls be careful. this is a narcissistic sociopath who hates & blocks most members of her family. she recently tried to upset her own brother's suicide funeral (which she refused to attend) with a series of self indulgent relentlessly self promoting letters, one of which attempted to incentivize her own mother to kill herself as well. she is not well. her career is based on joining multiple cults, & the only one she can never see is the one she is currently in.

Hot take: it boils down to narcissism. Women, particularly mothers, are so sure that there is only one right way to manage a household and only they know it. So they keep worrying that their husband is going to mess up things at home. In truth, they probably won't. And even if they would, so what? You are not perfect either, so why do you care if someone else is a bit more flawed?

Wait, did Brad say his number? Lesley as a 7 makes sense ... under duress 7's go to 1's ... rules/perfection. I've studied this throughout the pandemic and LOVED that you highlighted it and with such an awesome resource as Erin. Thanks for introducing her work. It's fun to think about how all the numbers would be slightly different Pilates instructors. As a 1 ... I see what's wrong - a super power when learning to look at bodies during my Pilates teacher training. A detriment when watching people move in the world outside the studio.

My friend is a 1. I'm a 7 with an 8 wing. Brad's a 3. And what I love about it is that you can take that knowledge to help you understand what makes you rock. And also how to let it go in the outside world.

As a leader, I am constantly on my staff to look for improvement, not perfection. We are not, nor will we ever be, perfect. But if you look and train for improvement, you’ll constantly be seeking out and encouraging the right behaviors. This is positive and builds your team.
