@@pink_chi_games I didn't have many options to fight him that hammer is so slow there weren't many openings where I could attack Radahn without getting killed by one of his follow up combos, and I was too stubborn to switch to a faster weapon.

@@pink_chi_games I never played DS1 so Artorias never crossed my mind. I can see it. I was thinking more along the lines of Pontiff Sulyvahn and Malenia.

I went through NG not knowing what they were for. They function similar to Embers in Dark Souls. Using the shards activate the effects of whatever Great Rune you have equipped. I originally thought just having the rune equipped was enough. Here I have Godrick's Rune equipped since it raises all attributes.
