Yep, I dented my rim on that one. Wasn’t the original plan for sure. Anyone have an alternative to Cushcore that they really like?

My Favorite Downhill Run | August 2024 #mtb

This trail is a gem! Riding in northern Utah is my favorite! Full downhill run on my Fezzari La Sal peak. Every second of it was amazing, hope you enjoy it! I am trying different settings on my GoPro. This was filmed in 4k 30fps, shutter rate 1/60, color was flat, Hypersmooth boost, raw audio with a wind case, and I had a ND 8 lense filter.

Huge mistake: For some reason the Hypersmooth was not working, I’m not sure why. The Shutter speed makes a huge difference on how fast it looks like you are going. For audio I just have a wind-case on my GoPro, the wind setting is off on the camera. Pros: It looks really fast, lighting isn’t terrible, and the audio sounds great. Cons: The shady spots and sunny spots are a bit rough, it is very ...

As a north Utah rider, I was surprised to not recognize this trail at all! Still stuff for me to discover
Utah has so many trails man, it’s a great place to live! That trail is pretty close to Cache Valley, it’s a good one for sure.
@@theDecendalorian that makes sense, I haven't ridden north of ogden yet, good to know there's trails out there. Definitely lucky to live in Utah!
I like your bike
Hey thanks! Me too! What do you ride?
How is the paint holding up so far?
I put some protection on it earlier, and it has been holding up great. I have been doing some cross-country races, and hardly any has come off.
@@theDecendalorian Sounds good. By protection, you mean like a clear coat or a lacquer? What did you use? I'm not sure which one to go with
@@tomcruz3774 I don't know which one I used. I just found a waterproof protective coat and then used it and a brush to get it evenly on the shoes.
What sprays did you use?
I used rust-oleum, the 2X ultra cover. I have heard it works the best.
@@theDecendalorian Thanks, its gonna be next weekend project for me.
@@peakros522 Your welcome, sounds awesome!!
I know the feeling of crashing. Stay safe!
Thanks, I will try, but the next ride I did, I was on the same spot, and hit my hand really hard, I thought I broke my hand, but it is okay. Sadly, with all these crashes lately, I have not been able to post videos as often. Hopefully it will change this week!
@@theDecendalorian I understand. I just got surgery on my right hand from crashing so I can't ride again for about 3 months. I guess we both just need to be more careful. Take care buddy!
@@venturelyfe Sorry about that, that will be a rough 3 months! Thank you!
great videos
I can definitely agree that, that was a proper ride! Such an incredible view at the top there. Makes that gruelling climb well worth the effort. Awesome video man
Thanks, those rides sure are the best!
Nice
This is absolutely beautiful! Keep it up! I forget did you make backyard trails? If you haven't maybe you should try doing that! Now a day they are a pretty big hit on UA-cam. I have some trails covered on my channel if you need any ideas!
I do have a back yard pump/jump track I am working on, but I am working almost full time, and I am short on time. I should be posting a trail build video in the next couple of weeks though. Thanks!
Stairs.... “just tuck and roll” 🤣
This is amazing 🤣
Nice vid scott!
👌🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That was awesome! Do they run the lifts in the summer at this park?
Every time I have been in the summer, they have not. But, I think they do events that they run the lifts.
I miss Snowbasin so much!!!
I was out there about 10 years ago. Think it’s just about time to make another trip after watching this, I forgot how cool this park is
Agreed, it is always worth it to go and see all the things there. Next time I am bringing bikes for the bike park at the Teton ski resort!
Wow those look cool and really satisfying
Hey there iv just found your channel on another comments list.. this is polly a dad and I run her account.. I absolutely love mountain biking and downhill tracks.. I live in the uk and go to a place called “farmer johns” it’s a cool downhill track... Iv connected with your channel.. please do the same and keep up the amazing videos 💓💓
Thanks so much! I will keep it up!
Nice content and camera aswell would you mind. What camera did u used here
I film with a Gopro Hero 8. It is probably the best camera ever for what I do. Thanks James!
Great Vid!
cool clip 💪
Nice video! I used that music in some of my vids too!
Yeeeew 👌🏼🔥
great vid!!
Another stellar looking trail from out there. Sweet footage buddy
Thanks!
I love Snow basin!
Me too, it is a super fun place to ski and mountain bike!
@@theDecendalorian I've skied there, but I haven't mountain biked!
@@theDecendalorian Do you ski?
@@minimtb3154 Yes, I love to ski!
@@theDecendalorian Same! It is probably my favorite sport! P.S. I subscribed!
Trails there look so sick! Do they have lift access there at all or is it pedal power at the resort in the summer?
I think Snow Basin has lift access on certain days, but usually when I go, we only us pedal power the whole time. They are amazing!
How do you like the spark? Looked like it handled that gnarly bit of riding like it was nothing. Awesome footage man! That was super entertaining
The Spark is amazing. It is very fun to ride, and it can handle anything I throw at it! Thank you!
Nice video man!!
Thank you Owen!
Always Outdoors Your welcome!
Love steep trails! Good to really test your bike control!
Yes, and they are super fun to ride!

@@theDecendalorian thanks bro! Your getting your subs up too! Keep up the good work!
Nice vid man!! Can you bunny hop? Tomorrow Im posting a vid where I carved into the hill side and made a half-circle with a drop at the end go check it out tomorrow!
Oh ya, bunny hopping is the best, I will check it out, thanks Jackson!
Do you have any tips for bunny hopping. I've tried to watch all the videos but they don't help me very much.
@@jacksonforge3564 I ride flats right now, I am not very good at bunny hopping, what bike do you have? The best thing I would do is to practice a ton. Spend a couple of hours doing a lot. Try popping both wheels up at the same time before doing the other types. Thanks for the question!
I have a Schwinn rocket 3. It's my dad's bike (It's a little bit big for me) but.....¯\_༼ ಥ ‿ ಥ ༽_/¯ Thanks for the advice.
What are the best places to ride? Have you ridden your bike in Utah?
Great video love your stuff. I've made a UA-cam channel come check it out. We called ourselves Soholt Siblings.
I'll check it out!
Good job on the video.
Thanks!
