I believe it might be since the RS3K has been on there for a few months now but I’m not 100% on that since I don’t know much about Naugatuck Idk if this information will help but this horn was Connecticut Rail Films then he sold it to someone who works at Naugatuck & then it ended up on 686 & It’s been there since I think the spring / summer of 2024

ACSES is the cab signaling system that has been used on Hartford Line since 2018. Other routes have this cab signaling as well but not all of them. This is also why we only get certain P42DC’s for the Hartford Line The ACSES equipped P42DC’s are 46, 85-90, 92-101, 103-125, 129, 130 131?, 132? & 145 I’m not 100% sure about 131 or 132 having ACSES but I know for a fact all the other P42DC’s listed have ACSES

Honestly I have no idea when 838 will be returning from rebuild. However I will say 838 was sent out July 16th 2022 & the rebuilds seem to take over a year & a half so based off that information I’m going to guess sometime between now & April 2024 This is just a guess I do not have information to back this up

It’s kind of easy if you have a rough understanding of how to use camera gear I would recommend starting out with a Tripod to put your phone on then work your way up to a camcorder or something that Isn’t too complicated. After that I’d recommend looking into actually camera gear. It took me 2 years before I got my first camcorder & picture camera & another year before I got my current setup

⁠and literally it feels like I’m next to the train, as opposed to which arrivals and departures. All of them are smooth real time motion, but they don’t feel like it to the eye like yours and his are. Other videos feel like they depart too fast or arrive and stop too fast

AHS (automated horn system) was installed at this crossing due to what I believe was noise complaints in the area. These were installed as sort of a way to counter the loud noise caused by train horns. The entire town of Wallingford was supposed to receive these as I like to call them “wayside horns” however as of April 2023 Amtrak has deactivated these wayside horns & from what I understand is doing away with the project entirely

I wasn’t a fan of these new horns at the start however now that I’ve heard them at full blast I can say these new ones are decent
