Living in London: The Best and Worst Areas

Of course I didn't speak about EVERY Neighborhood in London as I didn't want the video to be too long, but soon there will be a series of 4 videos about East, West, North and South London where I will be more specific. I'm sorry if I offended someone, I really didn't mean it. I love London and every areas has its own charm. Please let me know what's your favourite and least favourite area in Lo...
VERY GOOD INFORMATION THANKS FOR SHARING
👋😊
Have you found a nice Muslim man to marry yet ?
Теперь выучу английский 😅
Cost of utilities is pretty much the same across the whole of the UK
Ich glaube, London ist sogar schlimmer als Berlin und das will etwas heißen...
Just ignore all the junkies pickpockets and scooter muggers. London is a dump.
And also you can be arrested for posting in social media smthg bout certain groups.
London is becoming more Islam.
Becoming more Islamic? Like the youth-dem are more Islamic then their OGs??? Maybe. But Muslims have been rooted in London way before most others. It goes back to the 60s. We are talking 60 years. I don't see no waves of Muslims coming. Most that do, end up going back. Cost of living and all that.
@@hurataimad-s3q There's definitely been a huge increase. Come to Slough, Hounslow, Southall, Wembley, Greenwood, East Ham...etc; you will see the large communities of Muslims that have gotten larger and larger over the last few years totally changing the demographic of the area..
@@techknow9237 LOL, them areas always had Muslims. What's your point??? Yeah whites Londoners left about the Blair times when there was money flowing and youth-dem wanted to get on the property ladder but a lot have come from here from rural areas and then settled. S Asians, i.e Muslims have been here for time. Why cry about it now?? I ain't seen no sudden influx of anything but eastern Europeans. Sure there has been communities come and go, like Algerians. Somalians came here like 30/40 years ago when their war was going on, they have numbers still. I remember Bosnia bringing in some but they are gone also. Syria was a thing but nothing like the Polish.
Islam is a good religion in my view, I am a Buddhist living among Malaysian Muslims, as well as southern Thai Muslims living peacefully with followers of other religions. The correct Islam is practiced in Malaysia, Brunei, southern Thailand, the behavior of the people is not like the violent Arabs.
I love LONDON!
Pollution, grime and crime are my top reasons
You should learn about the white flight that has taken place. It is not a British city now.
@@Hobo-Willy white flight?
🎉
London is the biggest sh**hole in the country - AVOID.
How do you not like area around Greenwich station? Just doesn’t make sense, loads of amazing roads compared to Canary Wharf
@@zestyut1344 too many people, way too many people. Plus only high street and near the river is nice. Other parts are not so pretty and actually felt not safe (deptford, for example)
I agree there are too many people at weekends. But there’s a different indoor market every day !! Really interesting shops. Amazing park, so much history compared to Canary Wharf. I do agree all areas surrounding Greenwich are awful. But all of London is like that. Nice areas next to sink ones
I appreciate you’ve made this video with all good intentions but it’s come off a little bit snobby and as a bit of an advert for Canary Wharf (which is a soulless shopping centre for people who work in finance and tech). I was born and raised in London and every area has its good parts and bad parts and just because a certain area is poor doesn’t mean it should be discounted. E.g the area you dismissed near Battersea has a wicked pub called the Magic Garden that is visited by people all over London and the same for Stratford with restaurants and museums etc. I also promise you Brixton is not trying to be like Shoreditch and has a rich history of culture and music. If anything, it’s seeing the same gentrification as Hackney, Peckham and Walthamstow. There was also quite a few times when you said you didn’t know much about these areas and have only heard some things which sort of begs the question that if you don’t know, why are you making a video on it ? I mean that in the nicest way as you obviously have a flare for video presentation but people will genuinely watch this video and listen to the poor advice it gives
@@TheAFC94 thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. I believe there is more to talk about and I will dive more into it, taking into account other people’s experiences as, of course, we all have our own opinions and it’s all very valid
Couldn't agree more with the original comment. And to put it a bit more bluntly, concluding that canary wharf is one of the best places to live in London is quite frankly laughable
big L for all of NW london RIP
oh man!!...heights of cheapness....the absolute cheapest way of making a video...make the entire video using google maps...what a lazy person
Its Londonistan. not a safe city at all
Very wooopopo Pu 😂😂😂
@@Mdk33337 wish I new what that means 😅
Clueless.
Lived in Northolt (west london) last year and so boring, awful transport links. Moved to North (Bounds Green) for just a little bit more rent per month and its night and day better! Couldn't recommend it enough if money is tight and you want to live a close travel to the city!
@@harrynichols8050 thank you! I actually never have heard of it so thanks for suggestion, will look it up!
London is a very class and wealth divided city. It is very cutthroat and alienating. It has a lot of great things about it but it can be a very lonely place. Canary Wharf isnt a place I would like to live in London. Yes, Wolwich is a much higher crime area than most neighbourhoods in London, but it is probably a lot more friendlier and down to Earth than ultra rich areas like Chelsea and South Kensington.
Thank you for your comment ❤
Canary Wharf is horrific, can barely think of anywhere worse to live - completely soulless
@@derekg49 I heard this opinion quite often, can you specify what do you mean by soulless?
@@KristinaExpat Yes. Other (most) parts of London evolved over time and have developed with interesting contrast in architecture. Canary Wharf was planned, architected and developed as an almost single entity so there is nothing but conformity. It's all too "clean" in the design with no mixed land uses - here's where you shop, here's where you work, here's where you live, here's where you eat etc. The result is like living in a shopping mall, too modern and too tidy - soul comes from organic growth it can't be designed. It has zero charm and you could be anywhere in the world, it's a characterless urban environment. IMO it's the least nteresting place in London
@@derekg49 thank you! That was really interesting to watch. I find canary wharf to be very convenient and fairly priced as you get a lot for your money here, the transport links are amazing, nice food spots, you have everything you need in 1 place. And I love skyscrapers 😅 but I guess it’s very personal. What from your point of view is the most soulful place in London then?
А на кого это видео ориентировано? Британцам рассказать про то где жить и гулять в Лондоне?
I lived in UK since 2009 I moved from Poland . Not once I thought to go London . Its a horrible , expensive place very dangerous.
👍🏻
Lovely ❤
