December trout? got to go to catch. slow lethargic trout requires slow prey. lifeless slow jig will trigger their appetite. present free meal in front of them. maybe they will open up their mouth. 1/16 th ounce jig and white crappie jig minnow imitations

What lure
Not always but life very hard. Caught a 20 inch rainbow on the bow river. Crooked tail like someone snapped the tail in two places and then it healed but deformed. On positive side it was feeding and released

How do you prefer to fish in in the bow just give it a couple of rips?
right now fish are lethargic that means extra light suspending lures barely moving just above floor of river.too much movement scare fish. free food in front of their eyes will equal results more often than not

@@peterchow2158 bass pro crappie max in pearl and 1/16 ounce white jig heads.8 pound test light action rod fenwick hmg plus piscifun viper 1000 reels. cast about 20 to 30 feet out practice hitting bottom small lift of rod. cause your bait move up a bit and erratic retrieves slow down pause.that will get their attention
caught 12 today at northside of highwood river.same method. highlight was some zztop 70 ish hillbilly poach a 10 inch rainbow! all my trout was bigger.he took off after i had a closer look. bow river catch and released @@peterchow2158

Just for clarification a cutthroat will reproduce with a rainbow and their offspring will be a hybrid called a cutbow. This is a case where a cutbow continued to reproduce with other cutbows or rainbow trout until all physical aspects resembling a cutthroat accept for the orange slashes under the gills faded away. The orange slash is always the last to go. I could be wrong but I believe it’s the dominant gene when a pure cutthroat reproduces with a rainbow trout and that’s why it takes a few generations to fade.
