Well it is not only the commissions. The government has set the minimum purchase price of $200,000 for foreigners to buy a property. So most properties that are selling to foreigners today are already inflated to meet this price. For example a property which is actually worth $100,000 would be priced at $200,000 for foreign buyer. And also foreigners are only to resell to Turkish citizens. Citizens will never buy back at such inflated prices and so investors are at a big loss when trying to exit the Turkish real estate market.
