Thank God for the new trains in Florida I hate traffic and air pollution and we need to get off our dangerous hiways and ride trains
Seems like a terrible idea to take a well-established road that was barely working at capacity rush hour traffic. During the time the Navy base was there people barely had personal vehicles compare to Baldwin Park where every household has at least two cars over-saturating Corrine Drive with traffic . Making it very difficult to get to work on time or get home after work without sitting in long lines of traffic. The result of shrinking the road is going to be that everyone takes the side streets to avoid the traffic jams. Thereby endangering the lives of people riding bicycles in Backstreets and children playing as angry frustrated drivers try to find any means necessary to get to their homes rather than sit in Corrine Drives ever-increasing traffic. This is a bad idea it's bad for the community and it's bad for our children and it's bad for all the businesses on Corrine Drive. My family's been living here for 21 years we have 3 bicycles and we walk and bike Corrine Drive all the time it's not a problem.
We are in Phase 2 of the study now, in which planners are coming up with various possible concepts for Corrine Drive. No concept of a future road has been selected, so the assumption that the number of lanes will change is very premature. Before any plan is put forth, the public will have a chance to look at and comment on all possible solutions. To find out more about the process, you can take a look at the study web page CorrineDriveStudy.org. There you can see updates on the study and sign up for our email newsletter. In early 2018, we will be sharing some ideas online for how the road might be improved and holding a series of meetings in the area. Please stay in touch.
I'm going by what I was told initially and that is "Korean is too fat it needs to be put on a diet" I was told face-to-face that it was going to be taken from a four-lane road to a two-lane road with one side being for bicycles and the other side was going to use for parking.
I am sorry that you received this misinformation. MetroPlan Orlando is conducting the study, and I don't think any member of our staff would have said this. There has been a lot of speculation about the study, but the correct information will come from us. I hope you have signed up for our Corrine newsletter at CorrineDriveStudy.org, which will help you get accurate information as it unfolds. Thanks.
