Great to come upon this, off radio and tv, JB is a great speaker about people.
The club has been taken over by woke politically motivated feminists who cannot take scrutiny. Such a sad club the NMFC have become.
#42 heart as big as Pharlap's. Up there with your Dad looking after eachother. Much love to your and your mum - the whole family. We are all greater not just for Darren but for all the Millane family. 3XY Rocks Noble Park.
"Some one at some stage has got to stand up!" This never used to be an issue when the likes of Joseph, Aylett, Mantello, etc were around, but North's modern day admins are AFL cuckolds. We need to get a pit bull back in the front office and flush out all the weak woke careerist impostors.
"The harder you work, the luckier you get." Your mate, Gary Player
My favourite moment was when, during the tussle with Ess to land Clarko, she made the MAJOR announcement as an exclusive scoop on Ch 9: "AliTHtair ClarkTHon ...WILL coach the ETHendon football club in 2023!!!" A few days later he was at North....and Caro goes on to win a media award. And not one of her weak C*** peers called her out on it! She cannot possibly think she is a credible, professional journalist. Lazy, Lazy, LAZY! I hope her lies end up costing one of her employers tens of MILLIONS.
8:44 - incredible work against Langford.
Bofheaded club cricketer - emblematic of the dramatic drop in Test standard after the implementation of Fake forms of cricket like one-dayers and t20.
Saw Sam at Kardinia Park 1975 when he wore the White Boots for perhaps the second or third time. He refused huge offers from Richmond and Collingwood to stay loyal - he and David Clarke were the only decent players we had at the time. Sam, people remember these kinds of things and it's why you're feted.
People respected Archer cos he had a go.
Corey, are you STILL on-board with things like "flattening the curve"?
Without any question at all the biggest creep in football history.
Douche-nozzle of the highest order.
Politically-correct weirdo.
Before Gazza and Carey came along Mattwews was the best player l saw. I was at Windy Hill when he broke the point post -happened right in front of me. His last quarter that day was incredible - Dons had a good lead and hadn't beaten Hawthorn since Sheedy had arrived. Lethal had other ideas and it's one of the most influential quarters played by anyone. He was also the dirtiest and most thiuggish player imaginable. What he did to Ken Hunter is unforgivable.
Saw Dermott in his first game where he kicked 5, and also in the 85 GF where kicked 8 in a losing side. Carey was a better CHF but only marginally - Dermott was tough and talented and definitely in my Top 30 of the last half-century.
Who is the footballer you hate the most? Some say Matthews cos of what he did to people like Ken Hunter. Others mention Ditterich and Dipper cos of their cowardice. Carey is top of my list and by some margin and it has nothing to do with anything like what Matthews or Ditterich did.
King Carey!!!
That soft stomp in 97’ was not worth 4 weeks. Unbelievable. I reckon would be a fine today.
If you want the government to do anything about suicide rates then you’d need to get the mainstream media to start reporting heavily on it. Media pressure is the only thing that kicks Government’s into gear. The fear of bad publicity.
Schwass was a super great player from start to finish. Underrated from a football media perspective. Hated to see him leave at the end of 97.
Long term North supporter here. You’d never ever get bronx cheered by us mate. Club legend. What was it about Pages that in the end you didn’t gel with? You said you weren’t happy for the last few years at North. Then obviously he came to Carlton and you have said you should have pulled the parachute 🪂 cord straight away. I mean he was your coach for a long time and when you played that epic 96’ season and were the best player in the league. What changed with him?
You’re a class act James great Aussie
Corey, your brother Shaun passed the message on to you from me, ☘️, you roved your own ruck tap for one of the fastest goals in VFL/AFL history. Please excuse my 'big-noting' myself.
My favourite game was when duck kicked 7 vs geelong in that first final in 1997.
Gave Barry Stanfield some horrific towel ups in the 90’s. Marked everything that came his way.
Gold interviews Macca,I’m breaking one of me own rules by having an opinion on someone when I’ve never met em but I reckon it’s a fair bet that your a genuine caring top bloke mate. These interviews helped me through tough times post covid to be honest and if I remember correctly the idea behind this podcast was to get middle aged blokes up and moving, well brother you’ve helped me in some ways get going and start thinking about the future and let the pasts mistakes stay in the past …… peace out
GIIILLLLLL! Miss you my guy! Hit a rake!
Baccarat at crown casino perth is#1
Nah, that was rooting ya mum
mr griffin was my high school english teacher. probably my favorite teacher! great guy we still keep in touch
ADHD, nice guy but behaved badly.
Jb needs to return to north
Prime McKernan vs Prime Dean Cox would have been a great match up
What were stars like Carey paid back in the day? Can’t imagine it’s anywhere close to todays star salaries.
Great Interview Corey. Subscribed!
This channel deserves to be much more known
Good to see an interview with no interuptions and knowledgeable interviewer Lethal is awesome
What a great person John Longmire? So glad he is with my club.
Ah the 90's Friday Night Football Playing Finals, winning flags Thankyou boys What a time and what a club !
Hero
Love to see Jason back at NMFC one day !
You’ve got fantastic interview skills Corey I really enjoy these easy listening I hope you keep it up mate Ya seem like a top notch bloke all the best with future endeavours and thanks for these interviews
Mark Roberts! Awesome!! Never see enough of fridge He owned that long sleeve
Very inspiring
My favorite Wayne Carey game that he should’ve talked about is when 22,026 fans were at the MCG Round 17, 1996 when he kicked 11 goals, took 15 marks, had 3 tackles and had 31 disposals against Melbourne. That was class, excellence and magnificence from the King 🤴 right there.
Probably his best game TBH I think the reason they rated this he was top of the table against Fletcher and some good defenders Melbourne where the bottom team but there is a lot they missed the game before this Essendon 1 he kicked 9 I think 7 at the half the 94 premilary against Geelong 6 goals 14 marks I think 2 games against the tigers late in 95 1 in the home and away then the first final dominated them I also recall a game against the saints in 98 north where 7 and 6 saints where top Carey demolished them and that started Norths unbeaten run until the grand final against the crows still haunts me
this is fucking awesome
You can't help but love Duck! He definitely is a humble guy and still is a great champion. :))
What a great person John Longmire seems to be
Great interview 👍 Love Horse...
Excellent interview Corey , Dermott is a great man has time for anyone who wants to chat with him and for a champion of Afl he’s very humble .
I watched Wayne throughout his career with respect for his skills but some disdain for his choices. Just recently I read his biography and learned his background. In this interview his new character shines with humility, value and generosity for all those with whom he played. Great respect to you Wayne. Thank you mate. I'd vote you the greatest player of our game. (Cheers. Ill have a beer for you tonight.) Mozzman.
