Anthony Leaf - lol, no. He was a normal 8 year old. Not held back at all. He’s now in 7th grade and is still doing well. You can check out his other videos if you want. Held back for athletic purposes - who even does that!?

​@@mattmoten3479 Unfortunately, it's something that happens. Just google it and you've find plenty of articles on the topic. I've coached a few of them and, yes, they are usually faster and bit more athletic than their peers. Still, for whatever positives it might give a growing boy, it seems like there are lots of potential negatives, too. I know one kid who dominated early but once his classmates caught up in 4th & 5th grade it was clear his advantage was over. Given how athletic your son is, you'll probably come across people who'll make that assumption. It sucks, but it's the fault of the parents who do this :\ Glad to hear he's still grinding. I coached both my sons in flag from kindergarten through 6th grade. My older sons team was always dominant (killer roster), but my younger not so much, but it was still a blast and I enjoyed it a lot.

Amorican Dream we bought flags from Play it Again Sports - they were brand new. We pulled them off in practice all the time but at certain angles they were tough to pull. Right after that play the ref checked the flag and pulled it right off.
