Why compare a static strap and not a nylon recocery strap that actualy has some streatch to it?? I mean you might as well used a chain in first test since your not realy proving a true recovery strap vs recovery rope. I have used a static strap with no luck but was able to get the same full size truck out of a mud hole with My streatchy RECOVERY STRAP. THANKS! for helping the Lady in such bad weather it would've been dangerous for Her to be waiting for help or walking!
I have the option to buy 2016 dx from a friend with 100.00 miles on it but he was telling me that it has an issue with the engine maybe broken crankshaft he’s asking me $12.000
@@josmarthetreeguy4966 seems high with engine issues. I seen someone selling for as low as 5-8k with blown engine. They are great trucks but I would almost go with the gas engine.

@@josmarthetreeguy4966 you replacing the engine yourself? Otherwise cost of engine and labor is too much. Also has the turbo been replaced? I personally can’t change the engine so it would be a pass for me. They don’t have very good resale value so you may find one with newer engine for around 20k. If you join Titan xd Facebook group you may find better deal.

Help! I love this video! I have a pop-up that was rebuilt but it was not insulated so I just tore the back off to see what was underneath bad…I’m afraid to tear it completely down. I hope you have more videos on regular UA-cam that I can watch.

@@Young516_ interior height is just under 5’ - it has a good feel where it doesn’t feel to small when laying in bed. I haven’t had it weighed but I’m estimating around 700-800 lbs. Thanks for the comment! 👍

I have a 2016 Wrangler Sahara with close to 100,000. It is all factory. Looks great with very few problems. Hope it goes another 100,000.

so wood glue will hold the foam to the wood easily? thinkin about making a camper shell for the bed of my truck out of foam and 2x4's or 3/4" plywood cut down into the dimensions I need since 2x4s seem to always be gnarly and never straight when I'm looking for them...
If you are gluing foam to wood original Gorilla glue works great. You can sand gently on the foam to rough it up a little and it will hold.

I had the same trailer about 15 years ago that my father helped me totally enclose. I ended up selling it later that year, though. I have the same one again now, but haven't done anything with it yet, but I do plan on it at some point, and want to use the foam like you did. Thanks for the video.

The red paint is flaking off the frame and rusting underneath after 2 years . Should undercoat when new and clean.

My Ram 2500 showed an alert for trailer brake error that is how I found out something was wrong and pulled over. Wheel was smoking a lot.

Any ideas on why it overheating only on highway never in town has new thermostat I already pressure tested it all good there if I slow down on the highway to 60 it goes down I'm baffled by it
@@LloydMcKinley-e3o I’m not sure mine was totally opposite of that. Do you have winch or mud build up that could be blocking the radiator? Good luck in finding the issue.

@@gilmerod8635 I haven’t taken it to the scale yet but I’m estimating around 700 lbs. tongue weight is alittle to lite, will add spare tire to front to help weight it down. Right now I can lift very easy by hand.

Had a 2012 Wrangler and it had very few repairs, just minor stuff. It had 200,000 miles on it. Just purchased a 2024 and as I drove It home the engine light came on. 😳 Brought it back and they said it had needed a computer update. Picked it up and as soon as I got on the freeway the engine light came on again.😡 Brought it back and waited 3 weeks for new O2 sensors. I've had it back for a few days now and all seems well. Just hope it stays that way!

@@7996hobguy I tried to find him on Facebook marketplace again but couldn’t find the ad. If I come across it again I’ll send it to you. Lucky in our area there are a lot of options with the rv manufacturers close to us in Elkhart. I was at an rv surplus store in Orland Indiana last week and they had some good doors and windows. It’s called Newsoms rv surplus. Facebook marketplace is great at finding parts. Good luck in your search and have fun

@@F-N-C thanks! Below is a link to one that I made with 2x2 and plywood.. that trailer was more of duty so I wasn’t worried about weight as much. Either way both turned out good and I had a lot of fun building them. Enjoy your build!

Looks pretty good, where did you get the tires from? And did you have to upgrade to a longer axle to fit? I have seen alot of people saying they had to upgrade the axle to fit larger tires for better clearance

Pretty cool. I'm really curious about the foam panels. Are those just your regular foam panels that would be used for insulation? I can't believe they're strong enough for something like this.
Thanks, I am surprised how strong it is with the foam but it is super strong. I’ve taken it through ditches and driving on highway at 75 and there has been no flex or movement. I did use more 2x4s for support then most that make these.

Where did you get the pvc trim?
Menards, it’s in section with outdoor siding trim. It worked really good it’s just alittle expensive.
I know you made this video a year ago. Have you had any more issues with overheating?
No but we are coming into summer, last summer it was good. Hoping it is the same this year, if any issues come up I’ll reply back to the message. Thanks!
@@ostromadventures so this weekend I’m going to be changing out the thermostat for a 180° thermostat.. and if this doesn’t fix the problem, I will probably go with a temperature sensor and a new radiator. Probably a three core instead of the OEM.

Was there any alignment issues pulling the entire hinge off?
Same question about installing the hinges back on. I tried adjusting the driver’s side rear door when I put the nylon sleeves in the hinges and had issues getting the door to fit properly after. Any tips? My lowers are rusted and bug me on my silver Jeep
