This is me performing as Raymond Bizarre. The song was released on an album called 'Cantona' in 1995, and was produced by Ian Gomm. The video was courtesy of Pete Douglas and the students of York College of Art.

A song to Huddersfield Town. Due to the esoteric nature of this song I can't honestly recommend it to anyone except Town fans, or possibly anthropologists.

Llanfyllin is a small town in Powys, Wales. Songwriters have celebrated New York, Paris, Clarkesville, Tulsa, Bangor and Pant, but as yet, as far as I know, nobody has written a song about Llanfyllin. This is Rory Motion and Pete Beresford, under guidance from Mark 'funky knobs and sliders' Burnett, with a song called 'There's Nothing Going on in Llanfyllin'.

Pant is a delightfully named village in Shropshire, just over the Welsh border. Paris , New York, Tulsa, Clarkesville and Bangor have all had songs written about them, but as far as I know nobody has ever written one about Pant. Here's Rory Motion and Pete Beresford, under technical guidance from Mark 'funky knobs and sliders' Burnett, with a song called 'Under Pant's Spell'.

I discovered your song 10 years ago on a free compilation CD offered by french journal "So foot". I've forgotten every track on it except yours ! A real gem ! I'm so surprised at the number of views, should be sung every week-end from Marseille to Manchester

This is fantastic, mate. Did you learn French especially for this? There's an English version of the same song. Did you write it?

I lived in France for a few years so spoke decent French.... actually did a stand-up act a couple of times in French. The English version is by the producer, Ian Gomm, who used to be in Nick Lowe's band 'Brinsley Schwarz'.

I remember it well. Bunch of middle-class hippies with all the fucking answers, all the secrets of life...Some of the loneliest days of my life were spent there...The lad who invited me to join his band ended up being an absolute cunt, treated me like a leper, I felt like the fucking copper out of The Whicker Man all the time I was there...Like everyone knew something I didn't. And they did, but they were smug and superior about it though. I'm sorry I turned out to be an embarrassment for you, Scottie of Llanfyllin. Oh and by the way, I still fucking owe you one, you egomaniacal fucking tosspot. You never fucking scared me you cunt. 👊👊👊💪

I was myself once the fortunate owner of a brown and beige 20-litre Portapotti, second-hand. No longer. I still miss it.
