Wenge Gaming Dice Box Thingy
Quick little project/idea i had, about making a small travel container for dice, instead of lugging around a giant bag of dice. Or you could get pens/pencils in it. its a box after all.
Just learning the lathe and making projects like this.

One Day Build: Reclaimed Beam Bench

This was just a quick project I did between jobs. They opened a reclaimed wood store just down the street from me so I went to see what they had and came home with this beast, and decided to turn it into a bench.

Hand Plane Restoration

Just an old hand plane i found in my dads garage, had probably been sitting under that bench for at least 30 years, so while my shop is kinda out of order figured i'd take a break from that and restore it. Audio issues are fixed

Experiment Time: One Glue Up End Grain Cutting Board
Question: what is the thickness of the finished slab? 3 inches?
right around 4" if i remember its been awhile. i made two of those and sold them really quick.
Great job!
Joel you should he use that spray paint for the top of your head instead of ruining mid-century chairs the way you did. That would’ve made better use of that vinyl spray.
Awesome video. I was thinking the same thing and saw your video. Do you have an update on the board's condition now? Thanks!
what is that machine called to make the wood a flat surface?
Hi, What you have applied after the sanding?
just bought you a sandwich, bra. Can't wait for its arrival from the A van. Right in the midst of sanding an arbor and my Bosch just aint cuttin it - Thanks for the review
Wow, so many people who need to calm down. I have a set i need to restore and am looking at options. Thanks for providing one.
Wow! So bad for health and environment!
Great video! Would a wood dowel suffice instead of having that iron rod?
Omg I literally have 3 similar chairs I got from my late grandparents.. I wish I had the fourth one. Why in the hell would you paint them black?????? I would go straight into burn everything you own mode if someone did anything to my chairs
I just cut a 26” oak the other day that was beautiful. Cut a slab to try my hand at making a table to give to my grandma for her birthday but never really got into wood working. What did you use to level the slab out before you sanded it and can I just get one at Home Depot or Lowe’s?
I have a palm sander version of this. Basically the same without the 2 handles & variable speed. I'm extremely disappointed with the vacuum system. Blows dust out the sides and creates a mess, even when bag is clear. Is this some sort of defect?
Thanks for sharing and thanks for the link to the epoxy resin and hardener.
Is this feasible without a drill press?
Thanks for the Vid, do you think this sander would work with rust removal on my old pickup truck?
just get a wire wheel attachment for a drill, or angle grinder for that kinda removal
@@lyrebirdfurniture522 I thought about that but I guess I’d still need the sander for smoothing out the rusted off area to paint. Thanks ~ Merry Christmas
what’s the point of using the router in the beginning instead of just going straight to sanding
Leveling out the slab so its even thickness across the width.
@@lyrebirdfurniture522 so you you cut the slab using a sawmill and know it’s even all the way across then there’s no reason to use a router?
@@kidynamitjr1326 well that was cut with a chain saw off of a live tree. The router sled is good for slab flattening as well.
Maybe it's a silly question... but can it be used vertically? Or is it only horizontal? I would like to sand a window, I would be very grateful if you answer me.
I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work for that
Two things .. loose the annoying sound effects of speeded up talking. And also no need for super close up of board going thru planer. Good luck the silly speeded up sounds is too annoying to watch video.
Its a 5 year old video, so thanks for your engagement on it.
Can you tell me or do you have plans for your router sled?
Destroyed
So what. You can build a sled. How about telling us how to do it.
This is worthless without direction, instructions.
Slow down. Talk. Tell us what you're doing.
Most painful video I've watched. Keep it simple!!
I have the cordless version. cordless version purrs. yours sounds noisy on the recording
Omggg wtf, you would have made more money leaving it the way it was. Disgusting.
Cool build. How do you not peel off the stickers?
sticker residue if you peel it off means extra sanding anyways, leaving it on means i know when its gone.
Makes sense. I was making a joke about my OCD.
Do you have any working drawings?
Super easy, thank you for the video. 👏👏👏 From where did you buy the glass?
This table arrived well packaged and on time. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!
This is ABSOLUTELY DISCUSTING. AN UTTER WASTE. 💔
Nice. I didn’t even know that you could psint vinyl. Thank you
Thanks
I use brass 10/24 inserts in body an 10 24 screws for tapa cover
Paint hmm😮 never paint stain an seal is ok
I use brass wood inserts So basic wood screws would wear out an wood have put larger screws in to point no longer work inserts are cheap for long term use and adjustable tones
Hope you kept them all‼️
Hercules by Sargent 👍
Great job ! Love primitive instruments
Why two holes doesn’t that lessen the base sound
He does not understand acoustics.
In one shot the hinges were surface mounted then in another shot you inflated them🤔

Great idea with the tape. Well done. The box looks very nice. Would love to see it finished keep up the good work 👍
Vandalism
All videos on how to setup the lightbox....... absolute garbage, what's even the point in showing how if you are going to fast forward the most important parts.....
If you route the end grade first then any tear out gets removed when you route the long grane. Nice box and a nice gesture 👍
Would you hang cast irons from this?
