Just a head's up for those maybe wondering. You can never truly play as the bosses in MK1 for the SNES or SEGA no matter what you'd do either with glitches or a game genie simply because the characters aren't programmed for player-control. This is why the game will crash if you press a button because it doesn't recognise the input. So for anybody searching for "cheats" or exploits to play as Goro or Shang Tsung, don't waste your time, you will never play as them characters in the original game. There is a good hack version of MK1 SNES that lets you play as them because the creator has programmed them to be playable. It's called Mortal Kombat Champion Edition! :)

The people behind this port definitely pushed the sega master system beyond its capabilities,i played this on original hardware and i must say, considering the console limitations,it is not half bad!!!nice video!!!

This game has quite a bit of glitches. When playing as Mudman Vs Mudman on Mudman's stage, one time I was able to make the entire interface (time, health, text, etc) disappear and another time, have both health bars empty. 😅

Sub-Zero really destroys the GBC port, LMAO. The enemy dosen't even give a slight time to leave the wonky and broken slide hitbox. I call that a "Slideback" exploit, lol. 😌

Didn't knew this 1-UP method existed. I fealt easier than the 1-2 Goomba method.

Aparently, having 2 lives in a same level then dying, seems logical to have them respawn. Only because of hardware limitations of RAM storage.
