The most important thing you can obtain from this is to deepen your relationship with Christ. Everything else will fall into place. God didn’t give us tools he gave us truth and grace and mercy, and purpose. Love God with your body soul and mind.

Pastor Andrew Farhat bullyied for years a foreign girl who had trouble learning English and adjusting in a new society. Andrew Farhat gang up with other bullies to repeatedly mock a newcomer for not speaking English and for not fitting in. He never apoligized for his cruelty, xenophobia, mysoginy. He even tried to continue on with his atrocities at University of Washignton where we were students, but the campus was too big for him to stalk me. The fact that he never aplogized for his repeated stalking, harrassing, intimidation and bullying says that Andrew Farhat is a coward with a rotten soul and rotten heart and he will lead this congregations to hell. In fact there was a rape case of a child by a predator just like pastor himself at the church where andrew farhat preaches. Pastor andrew farhat didn't properly address this case and was covering up that rapist. This is what happens when you have a rotten trash as a pastor.Pastor Andrew Farhat bullyied for years a foreign girl who had trouble learning English and adjusting in a new society. I have a close friend who talks about how many self help books she has read, and how much confidence it has given her. Yet her house was a complete wreck, borderline hoarding level of clutter, barely a path through the rooms. She moved, and began the clutter build up all over again.

The example of using Lazarus has nothing to do with salvation. The parable of the Prodigal son is a description of spiritual deadness. Just like , Jacob I loved and Esua I hated has nothing to do with individual salvation....there are answers to these questions we just need to keep everything in context and use a correct hermeneutic...

Not improving oneself is a sin... Akin to the tenant that buried his talent while his colleagues trade theirs for more... I feel like that is not emphasized enough... We have an obligation to improve ourselves... 'Love your neighbour as yourself' requires that one love themselves as a means to being able to love their neighbours because one cannot give what they don't have. It is about improving oneself such that those around them may benefit. I can't stress enough... SELF IMPROVEMENT IS NOT OPTIONAL IN SERVICE... IT IS NECESSARY.

I do disagree about self love. Even one that “hates” oneself loves themself, properly loving themself is part of that or not properly loving themself can be interpreted as hate for oneself. Humans instinctively cares for one self even if purely survival in whatever circumstance. If you scrape yourself you tend to want to heal it, regardless if you aren’t properly loving oneself. Mental illness is another thing and needs addressing as well but ultimately God has deem us as lovers of oneself. Same as the devil and his followers were. In nature we are lovers of self. God of course knows this and commands us to love one another just as we do love ourselves in nature.. two of the most important commandments is to love God and love others as you do love yourself. Self help has value of course but God is actually saying through out all of scripture to deny yourself and follow Christ. Love the Father and love people even further to love those more than yourself. It’s the essence of scripture

So what's ur justification for voting on the things they say will benefit ur neighbor when u know those are talking points that will never be addressed which prolongs ur neighbor suffering or the govt ends up doing the exact opposite? 1st off rights r not GIVEN by the govt... They're given by God. (And the witness is written implicitly through out the rules in the 1st 5 books) In the sense of gun control "if u have no sword sell ur tunic/cloak and buy 1"... who said that? (U answered that already) Yeshua knew he had to die so he had to let those things happen but he specifically made them carry weapons bcuz everyone was in danger not just Yeshua... this witness he approved self defense to preserve your life, ur neighbors life, or the lives of those who can't defend themselves Also that's not what turn the other cheek means but I won't even get into that bcuz firearm use is only legal upon the threat of death not assault.... u can't turn the other cheek when the proverbial cheek is ur life or death. U talk about non violent Yeshua.... so throwing tables while whipping people while calling them serpents and menstrual rags... that's non violent? Dude I'm a believer but Yeshua was not an effeminate beta pacifist Guns are not strictly for preservation of our own life, it's to protect our neighbors or wife or child or anyone else who's facing death by someone's attack. U also said u want to be care what position u put yourself with a gun.... u don't get to choose when evil is acted upon u. Guns are just the technology of the day... in trained hands (and u should be training with ur firearm) a knife or spear or sling will kill just as easy. Also u talk about sin like its doing naughty things... its simple and spelled out, sin is transgression of the law... which law God's law aka Torah.. its significantly more narrow and specific than just naughty deeds... cursing isn't a sin in fact Yeshua used the harshest words of his day when calling out the Pharisees. Yes The Word is about preservation of life but how many times is it written "....and they shall surely be put to death" or what about Elijah down by the river? Were not to judge but that's probably more about preserving righteous life, didn't a whore and member of the 12 tribes get speared through in camp bcuz of unrighteousness? So don't u think it's righteous to allow ur neighbor the tools to protect his family against wicked intruders? We're not talking about a slap or a theif... home invaders do come in groups with express purpose to kill the occupants. Also purpose of the 2nd amendment was to protect our neighbors against wickedness and enslavement.... and death from someone who pretended to be God (Elijah comes to mind again, or how bout the people of Mitsrayim and the reason for passover).... I would be open to talking further on the topic. I'll admit I don't have a GPS type brain as it pertains to locations of verses but I'm also not 1 to make something up that isn't there (that would be transgression by bearing false witness in his name) let me know how to reach u. I'll have to polish up on things pertaining to these ideas but I'm not gunna try to create an "I got ya" type atmosphere

  • @smittywarbenyagermangensen4860

There's an interesting issue of self defense where it is not clear to the gunman diffusing a threat, where which the diffusing gunman is in such an elevated state that he can't, within the realm of seconds, be certain when the threat is neutralized, up to the point of shooting the threatening gunman or intruder to death, not psychologically registering the death of the threatening person. A good example was the Texas taqueria robbery shooting, where a pistol carrying citizen neutralized a violence threatening robber. He shot the firearmed robber 3 times quickly, and then another 5 times once the robber had fallen. There is a common tactical weapons expert testimony given at trials of this manner, they'll be called to give an account for the nature of self defense situations. In this case, the defending gunman may be given some leeway due to the short and intense moment during which he may not have been able to determine whether the robber remained dangerous or not. From the catechism of the Catholic Church: "Love toward oneself remains a fundamental principle of morality. Therefore it is legitimate to insist on respect for one's own right to life. Someone who defends his life is not guilty of murder even if he is forced to deal his aggressor a lethal blow: If a man in self-defense uses more than necessary violence, it will be unlawful: whereas if he repels force with moderation, his defense will be lawful. . . . Nor is it necessary for salvation that a man omit the act of moderate self-defense to avoid killing the other man, since one is bound to take more care of one's own life than of another's." I see it that we can recognize the psychology of man in such a situation and see that though an unintentional killing may result, it can be regarded as an attempt to preserve what is precious.

So you are admitting that the New Testament is flawed and what we read is something compiled that Christian’s think they wrote… you even admit that Christians think Mark wrote Mark but are not sure… You say it’s trust worthy, than tell us Jesus last supper was it a Passover supper like Matthew, Mark and Luke says it is OR is Johns account correct that it’s not a Passover meal because Jesus died on Passover?? Funny you can go to any Synagogue in the world and take a Torah scroll written in Hebrew and very scroll reads the same.. same number of words same number of letters with NO deviations. Or even look at a scroll 1,000 of years old and all are the same. The same thing can be said about the Quran written in Arabic but no one can say that about the Christian Bible or all it’s manuscripts..

@@kimball2155 friend, sunday has never been sanctified, blessed, made Holy and it never will be such. the 7th day Sabbath was yesterday - according to our Creator and our Saviour and the Word of God Almighty. you're totally right that there are many who go and aren't even following Christianity - but getting back to God's basics is a start. interestingly, Scripture prophesied in Daniel 7 about an entity (counterfeit 'church') tampering with the Sabbath Command. the roman catholic 'church' admits to tampering with It. they even tell all other churches that exist that if they are (pretending to keep) 'keeping' sunday - they are paying catholicism homage, not God - they even know God says to keep Holy the Sabbath, not sun worship day. thanks for reading. does this matter? Sabbath IS a Command from our Creator - Ex 20:8-11 once before in Scripture they thought they'd make their own day 'holy ' - see how that worked out for them in Ezekiel 22:26 then see what will be at the end of time in Ezekiel 44:23-24 thanks again, stay warm. all questions welcomed and encouraged.
