At what temperature range do you use the heat emitters? What temperature do you shoot for?
@@cherylj7460 We usually turn them on when daily high temperatures don’t exceed 70 degrees, although because of the plastic we don’t use the heat emitters very often. So I would say around mid 60’s we turn them on as a rule of thumb. The enclosure heats up pretty well with the plastic alone. I make sure to leave the front panels off so she receives unfiltered sunlight (the sun is low during the winter so it shines in through the front instead the top).
@@reptibossThank you! The wood panel in her cage is beautiful wood. That reminds me, if you ever have a chance to get a dead or dying citrus tree, they are perfect for reptiles! The wood lasts for decades and you can use it indoors or out, hang lights on it or just put it in the sun.
That’s a really nice enclosure! I agree- nothing like the outside!
@@cherylj7460 Thank you!
This is excellent outdoor enclosure and versitile to adapt to the seasons well done
@@dianakiaupa1314 Thank you! That was the intention! I wanted to cover all of my bases and take into consideration the temperature shifts of each season.

Thank you!
Nice video bro!!
@@geok8607 Thank you!
You said about 10 months out of the year.. Do you bring her in for two coldest month? I’m in Laguna hills /south oc and have been concentrating building my beardie an outdoor enclosure also.
Yes! Last year I hibernated her for about 6 weeks and she stayed in the rest of the time. I have an indoor enclosure for her also if it is unseasonably cold during the spring. If you have any questions regarding your enclosure I would be happy to help!
Niceeee
First comment!!! WOOOOO
