Thanks! Sadly I've no plans to do any more at this time. I never properly tried the cars on ovals so no set-ups sadly. I have a Laguna Seca hot lap and set-up on my channel somewhere though!

I was able to run a 30+ grid (all visible!) on almost max settings without any issues in single player but didn't try online sadly

@@rossjmcgregor I see. Technically should be the same since the hs is not dependend on internet-connection stuff one would assume. But if I've learned one thing about PCVR: it is fiddly af 😵‍💫

@@MikiLaggard probably more of a CPU bottleneck than GPU if you're having issues jumping from single player to online

The sounds still hold up today, better than AC, iRacing and rFactor 2, for example. It looks nicer now but there's only so much they can do I guess.

I didn't have MSAA turned up for this to be fair, will try it on full gfx settings in VR next time

Unfortunately I haven't played enough of RaceRoom over the years to judge, but the DTM 1995 class seemed quite challenging to race on 100% difficulty, so that's a good sign!

Yes - Make sure RaceRoom is installed on the same drive as your main Steam installation folder. Turn off Fixed Foveated Rendering (FFV) in the Pimax Play software. Turn off VSYNC, Bloom, and Depth Of Field Effects

@@rossjmcgregor thanks for the reply. I dont have a pimax crystal but I believe every user has had that small screen/low resolution issue. so you are saying they fixed that problem?

I actually had trouble getting RR to work in VR (including tiny screen as described) but by following the above steps it worked ok. So it sounds like there's still an issue there but I was able to resolve it.

unbelievable. is at really that clear in the goggles as it is in the mirrored stream? looks fantastic. do you mind to share your vr settings? im struggling with blurryness and artifacts at the fenses a lot with my quest 2

I don't think it looks as nice as AMS 2 in VR but it drives better

@@rossjmcgregor OK, at the moment I drive ams2, but I find assetto corsa little bit better in physics and FFB. but graphics are ugly in assetto corsa, that's why I switched to ams2, in VR

AMS 2 is hard to beat in terms of looks and performance. Have you tried installing graphics mods for AC?

@@rossjmcgregor yes I tried out lots of csp, sol, pure mods over months, some few tracks looms ok, but the general look is old and crap. cars look great. but surroundings, tracks very unnatural. you see that the engine is 10 years old, even with all the mods

@@mh7711 You really need to try the custom shaders patch for AC. It'll change your mind about the graphics. There are dozens of vids on UA-cam to show you where to download and how to install the mod.

I don't know RaceRoom well enough to judge, but it worked very well for me once I got my headset up and running

GT isn't a sim. Don't get me worng, I'm not hating on it. It's great and worthy of it's fanbase but it's a "Simcade"...as is Forza. Raceroom is an actual simulator in the same category as Asseto, iRacing and Automobilista 2. Of course, many will debate which is best or more realistic.

The Opel has a gear change animation but I believe the Alfa used paddle shift back in the day.

It's a lot of fun. Highly recommended if you're a fan of classic DTM!

First lap was clean but on the limit, start of second lap was invalidated though! iRacing is also overly harsh with track limits👍🏼
