first time I heard this version was 45 years ago ! a friend everyone knew as squirrel played it , and he said something rather interesting , he said you can sing amazing grace to the tune of ,house of the rising sun , but you cant sing house of the rising sun to the tune of amazing grace !

I came to Christ on this song. Tonight I sent it to my errant adult nephew with the prayer that Amazing Grace will touch him as it touched me many years ago. Amazing Grace lives on. Thank you for establishing it further.
