Hi can I ask you what menu you are in to display the rpms you want on the letter LEDs? I don't even light up when they're in menu N. Thank you
what do u have around your iron
Normally I have a sealing iron sock but since I ran out so I used a old cotton shirt that I cut to size and wrapped the iron.
Nice looking plane! Looks like it fly's really smooth too!
@@stevebarr9604 thank you very much. It is a smooth flying model for sure.
Is the fuse sides balsa pr light ply?
@@charlesmyers9765 the cabin sides are lite ply.
I got hands on this arf kit I have a question the manual says engine recommended .60 to .90 so will .60 work for simple flying ? As I am a student so tight on my budget 😅
I just picked up a Super Sportster 90/120 (NIB from one of the guys in my club), very similar to the UltraSport and have a new OS 120 to pull it around. Watching your video(s), I feel inspired. And yes, I'll be considering a flaps modification.
I really appreciate what you've done here, thanks mate. I'm working on an Uproar V2 and do not like covering. With your help I've actually done a good job this time! Wings are now checkered on the bottom and I'm doing the elevator tonight. Next winter I'll finish my Ultimate Kaos. It's been done except covering since 1993. I bought the kit and built the thing but never finished it. Next winter project. Thanks again!
@@YZ250W1 so awesome! And thank you for the comment. Happy New Year to you and your family as well
Is that a Hitec X4 in the back ground? Same one I have.
@@charlesmyers9765 yup! One of the best chargers I have and my go to for all my charging needs.
My glow plug goes on but it won’t turn on.
@@MasterScreenPrints did you mess with the needles or all still factory settings?
@ all still factory. I just got it for Christmas. I was following all the steps on your video. I was not sure if the battery pack was fully charged. But since it came with cigarette lighter charger I charge it on the way to work. I’ll see if it turns on today.
You have to prime the carburetor. Put your finger over the exhaust hole and give the starter a few pushes until you see the fuel move through the fuel line to the carb. Do not over prime the carb! Once primed remove your finger and give the starter a few pushes until the engine turns over.
@ I see. I will try. I have been trying it the battery pack died really quick and I have to charge it again in my car with the cigarette lighter.
@@MasterScreenPrints ensure you fully charge the starter pack. Also you can use a 2S lipo in the starter wand however you will need to solder a adaptor plug for your 2s lipo. You will get a starter wand that will last basically all day of play.
Wow, I’m glad I seen your video. I just bought one and I was planning to go fast. LOL I’ll follow your steps. Thanks man!
Where has this channel been my whole life! You make covering look extremely easy. It’s my Achilles heel. I’ve been modeling for 40 yrs and could never cover with monokote to get an adequate result, so I cover with fabric and paint, where I can get stellar results at a weight price. I’m going to try using an iron on covering with my next project because of you. Great job, and great channel you provide for us!!
@@NateG3678 awe thanks for the comment. Yeah I have been covering and building, flying for 43 years now and monokote has been my covering of choice since the early days until just recently. Only because monokote is no longer available I gave Ultracote a try in which I also made a covering video of my Great Planes Reactor 50cc. Thanks again for watching and once I get better from all my chronic painsand medical issues I will get back to making more videos of building and flying. Happy New Year my hobby brother.
YEA? thats a beautifull job, well done,? BUT DONT go installing a big engine with a big PROP and going out to the field and duing a little aerobatics like a SNAP ROLL to the left and one to right? you will find out that you have TWO AIRPLANES????
LMAO!😂 yeah most definitely not a 3D Aerobatic model so no snap rolls or Aerobatics being done on this airframe. 4 Years and this model is still flying beautifully with no issues whatsoever. She still looks as if I just finished building it yesterday.
Great video!

@@HenryTyson heheheheheheheh
Hey Mike, I am going to use your canopy idea cuz it looks really coo, so can u tell me what size Sq. stock u used. I'd probably just grab a piece of aluminum, is it 3/16?
@@HenryTyson the one I used was 1/4" only because of my ball ends that I had on hand that will slide inside the rails fit perfectly inside the 1/4" brass rails I cut. They do sell smaller ball ends but that was what I had avail at the time.
Thanx Mike
So Mike, you glass it then you prime it then you tape out the panel lines so the panel lines r actually the primer showing through. Have you used the TP method to soak up excess resin.
No I have not used the TP method. I have just been using my plastic spreader to remove all the excess resin. To me TP is just way too much mess and work just to try and absorb excess resin. I mover faster just using my spreader. And once the resin is cured and sanded smooth I do not need to fill any weave in the glass because it has been done during the skim coat and removal of excess resin part.
I watched farther and u explained it
@@HenryTyson Roger that!
Hey Mike, if you r still at it or just chatting, your canopy is insane. My question is ,your canopy the stock one and u cut in 2 pcs. Or was it bought separately

Hi, would you say this helicopter is begginer friendly?
That question is not as easy to answer honestly. For a beginner as in first ever helicopter I would say it is not going to be beginner friendly for it involves assembly, setup of FBL unit, transmitter and to do this properly you would need to understand your equipment. A beginner friendly heli and ease into the heli world would be the Blade line or Goosky RC helicopters which are mostly Bind and fly.

Nice work as always mate 🤙just a question regarding the tank, why do much extra fuel line wrapped up ? Thanks
@@NathanWaldock the line looped onto it's self is the vent line. This acts like a air trap so when you perform inverted maneuvers or nose down like dives etc the fuel does not just start spilling out through the vent line.
@BayonasRCWorld ok thanks so is this required to do in all gas engines? Or just for doing 3 D ?
By the way your covering vids have helped me out in a lot of ways ,thanks 🤙🤙🤙
@@NathanWaldock it is advised to do on gas engines in general. One other example is tilting the model on its nose for any reason without a looped air vent line the fuel will just flow out of the line quicker than you can say "crap". With the vent line looped it prevents the fuel from spilling out acting like your kitchen sink drain trap.

@@michaels6478 it is the Model Sounds Inc. Shockwave 3 sound module. Unfortunately the company has closed its doors almost a year ago. However I have an email dated October 8th, 2024 that I will share below. Hello, everyone. As you are aware, our company, Model Sounds Inc., closed its doors almost a year ago so that my wife and I can enjoy our retirement. The ShockWave 3 sound module was extremely versatile and easy to use for many different kinds of models. Since there is not a direct equivalent in the market place, I have been working with BEIER Electronic, from Schorndorf - Weiler near Stuttgart, Germany, to help them make their already very good products more suitable for model airplane and helicopter use. To that end they have acquired rights to our entire collection of airplane and helicopter sound sets for use in their own USM-RC-3 and MSM-1 sound modules. They have informed me that they are working on an external amplifier to boost the sound level and expect to offer their very easy to use MSM-1 mini-sound module pre-loaded with airplane and/or helicopter sounds next spring. Please contact them directly for further updates. Their website is here (available in German and English). Their email address is modellbau@beier-electronic.de. Good luck to you all and we hope you continue to enjoy adding sounds to your RC models. Best Regards, David Harrison.

Those are some fast seconds lol
LOL yeah it was a hot, humid day, then rain on amd off. This made the filming of this video to take all day until the evening. Should have been a few hours instead. However I digress
I dont know what to do. All my parts twist like crazy when shrinking. I'm building small parkflyer where the balsa/ply structure are a bit lighter and twist badly.
What covering are you using? Regular standard ultracote, monokote film is a tad bit thicker and heavier compared to like Hanger 9 Parklite Ultracote which is made for models like gliders and or smaller lite weight kits. When using regular covering on a delicate model structure once you start shrinking the covering it will continue shrinking and if the structure is delicate it will crush the structure at the sametime.
Try the parklite covering. I have never had any issues covering thin airfoil or very delicate balsa structures.
@@BayonasRCWorld Than you for the tip!
