Home Jam #2 (Behringer Neutron/EHX Cathedral/Push 2)
I've been inspired by Nick Bat's from @sonicstate in his Friday Fun jams so I did this patch on Behringer Nutron and send it to Electro-Harmonix Cathedral Stereo Reverb which I borrowed from a friend of mine.
What I did here in terms of patching the Neutron.
Here is two main thing that made it sound like that.
1. I route LFO unipolar output into Attenuator 2 and out of it to Delay Time. LFO has been set to Square and I tuned Attenuator so it changes pitch drop in delay in one octave (you can set it by any interval of your taste).
2. I route Assign out (which was res to Aftertouch) to MULT in and divided the signal. First one I route it trough SUM A along with LFO out routed to SUM B and out of SUM1 I send it to FREQ MOD in. From MULT 2 I send to Attenuator 1 and out of it to Resonanse. I set the amount of intensity by the taste os as harder I was pressing Push's pads as higher the resonance was.
That pretty mush it.
Enjoy and share this music.

Nothing about Vocoder ? ((
Holy crap you REALLY KNOW synths. You have me really excited as to what it can do. Would you recommend this as my first synth for learning synthesis? Thank you so much for an excellent review.
hi, i just hope someone to see this and help me. i can’t adjust the digital waveform. after i chose dwgs its just three line on the edit 2 sections, i can’t choose the program or anything. how can i fix this
I need that back track drum and bass!!
Great video! Thanks!
Korg's Boss told me they are currently working on a new firmware update. Any minute now! any second!
Thanks for the review!
Amazing tutorial! Makes me want to get one and then come back to watch again. I hope you’ll make more videos!
прошу такой видос на русском языке 🙏
Brilliant vid .. The MK is the fender P of the keyboard world
Hey brother, new sub here. Would love to see more content from you, even if it's jams and the like. You've got some great material here and I would definitely watch more.
Very good!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow nice intro man! Very 80s and has that character to it. Looking forward to some new content.
Great tutorial. Depends on your religion...hilarious
whats the preset you used at 39 seconds and chord progression
Hell yeah had one in 20013
Epic sound brother !! :)
You need a cut off of frequency that goes higher then human hearing as it creates distortion. Cool sounds though.
Some say the Mininova is a copy of the Microkorg but apart from the Vocada and the size/shape they are nothing like each other.
I have a Microkorg, and I would love a Mininova.
What does "Vocada" mean??
I hate you for teaching me how to program the MicroKorg. It was one of the last areas of mystery, peril and intrigue in my life now it's just something I know well enough to teach to someone else. You took something beautiful and spiritual away from me and replaced it with confident and competent understanding. My brain is now full of forbidden knowledge, yet my soul has emptied. You absolute monster.
preach
quarantine synth of choice at the time?
Узнаю по акценту и по построению фраз русского :)
Thanks for this very good tutorial. You're so freakin fast haha.. the Micro Korg is one of the best pieces I have ever bought. I;m a guitarist, and I don;t even use that many boxes. I try to leave the tech department to others, but I love Micro Korg, and I love what it can do. I realize now, I have been using, maybe only 15% of the synth.
Thank you so much for this great help with the Microkorg!
Hi friend, I bought a microkorg to learn, and I think you teach perfect, is it possible for you to make videos teaching the notes as chords? something basic, to take the first steps. If you have obvious time
Haha, the buttons have been a weak point on Korg's since the 80s (they can be fixed though, often just oxidised contacts). The MicroKorg must have something going for it, its coming up to 20 years in production! I had no idea that this little guy had the Korg DW Series waveforms in in- cool! I think this synth has unfairly been associated with hipsters/posers, but who cares about that? All that matters is the SOUND!
The Microkorg is probably the best thing I ever bought in my 39 years of life.
brilliant thanks man I subbed
thanks for the video
Good tutorial 👍😊thank for subtitles , if also traductor Spanish , super better ... LOL
Love the microKORG! And this review is excellent. Very nice content.
Brilliant, great explanation of the features many thanks
I can't believe all the bad press the MicroKorg gets. You won't find any synth better at this price point. Absolutely awesome tutorial.
What negative press
Brilliant tutorial Dude, would love to see more about creating multi timbre/layered sounds also editing/storing the vocorder creations ...Thank you for uploading this 10/10
Really good job
Having it it's a privilege
Is it plug and play? I mean can you use it without computer? Unlike MIDI controller it doesnt have a sound without computer
Yes, this is a synth. It creates it's own sounds and doesn't need a computer. You will need to connect it to an amplifier and speakers though.
Dude, where is the “Dude, where is my synth?” guy? 😂
great review. Fast paced, full of good info. Top job..thanks
Thank you!
Clearly voiced over
And?

Such an iconic synth... and a good tutorial, too! I tried an original Microkorg back in 2010 or so, and enjoyed it. So I bought one... but got the XL version since it was newer and had a more powerful engine. Oops. I didn't realize how bad the interface was, or how much that mattered. It's virtually unusable for patch creation purposes, so it's pretty much limited to only presets. I should have gotten an Ultranova instead, or a Blofeld, or even a Korg R3. They were around at the same time and were much better. If I was starting today though, I'd go for something else. The Bass Station II is a good option as a starter synth... or the Microfreak. Or for something nicer, a Hydrasynth desktop is both easy and incredibly deep. Or for learning, a Microbrute or Minibrute 2 is easy and educational (though not terribly practical since it can't load patches). Anyway, you got the good one. There's a reason the original Microkorg is the best-selling synth in history.
oh wow thank you for saving me from almost buying an XL!
@@liuchaquan The Hydrasynth Explorer and Arturia Minifreak are both great options these days. At least, that's what I would probably get. A synth is kind of secondary to a tool to record and arrange sounds though, so I'd go for that type of core tool first, before getting a synth. My favorite one is the Akai Force, but it really depends on what your goals are.
Hahahaha this is great!!
Dude you're so good! This is the best Microkorg basics/tutorial i've watched in all YT! Congrats and thanks for share it with us! Keep doing this!
Thanks a lot!
Great production on this particularly the vocal. Care to share how it was recorded?
🙌💯💯💯💯💯💯🙌 Thank you so much that was awesome
Thanks a lot I did my best!
This is the best tutorial I’ve watched on this synthesiser, its so hard to remember every parameter but it will be worth it in long run
I agree. THE BEST ONE on the internet.
@@701200310 to be honest I like the microkorg but it just can get a bit annoying to program, I’ve since bought minibruit 2 and I find it so much more fun but only thing is you can’t save patches
Amen
Looks absolutely amazing for sound effects....
Very good demo of its most important features! Im owning one for years and there is even more to know about. There are some hidden mysteries left for me.
Chillin time vibes 🌅
I'm thinking of buying one, do you think it's perfect for a beginner like me?
It was my beginner synth-- but I didn't really understand how it worked until I got a korg MS20 mini. I would recommend a monosynth like the korg ms20 or the arturia microbrute to a beginner who wants to learn synthesis, and the microkorg for a beginner looking to use synth presets -- both are completely valid in my book! The microkorg is, as mentioned in the video, a 21st century synth legend. :)
get a Minilogue. Best synth to learn on. If you like trance music get a JP-8000, it's good to learn on too.
@@thefastandthefurious1 I second that
Thanks for answering, I'll take a look at the synths that you named me.
@@vibrantdragon3123 hey :) did you decide which one to get?
