Yeah I've ridden these a couple of times they are not bad at all really , the exterior design is certainly weird although I am getting used to it and the interior is so good, I have also filmed one too

On diesels you can hear the thrash meanwhile it's almost dead silent on these

Yeah 108 using citaros for almost 9 years will not be forgotten. As for the SEes hopefully those have improved from there earlier Waterloo days

Interior makes up alot for the exterior 100 percent

Serves a lot of areas which wouldn't really have underground connection without it and has 2 main branches through the centre with various terminus options

Yeah that livery scheme isn't around any more at least the bus still is

Need to get this one again. Also BK will be getting more hybrids for the 238 soon so it will be even more interesting

The MECs decent buses on an otherwise very boring route , if only they kept that A12 thrash section from pre 2016 it would have been better, I've been on the SEes before back when the red arrow routes were a thing pre 2023

Yeah it went from ADL/BYD being one unit to now competing against each other basically UK vs China or something like that , anyway I haven't yet ridden these will get to it soon though

How is it a competitor? theres loads of double decker buses from different manufacturers it doesnt mean they are all competitors?

@ because the E400EVs are built integrally by ADL and BYD BD11s are built integrally by BYD. Therefore BYD took the inspiration and hence how BYD BD11s are the competitor to the E400EV intervals

They are all competing for space on this country's electric bus market the likes of BYD/Yutong have dominated for several years, now we have Wrightbus/Switch mobility MCV/Volvo among others

@@DanielsUKT exactly. That's why I'm always disappointed when I find out TUK are running a rail replacement, you're just going to get LTs and EVs...

@@MostlyBuses1and then the one time TUK puts on a decent bus and it's on a stopping service (aka locked in at 20 )and overcrowded .. and nothing else is really better , for the most part I don't do rail rep stuff anymore the swr was an exception

@@DanielsUKT buses r most likely to loose their cooling fan because it’s really cold rn and I’m so surprised how 19864 hasn’t lost its cooling fan that it gained last January

@ on a good day on the A13 you can get 40/50MPH caned on that it is so good

You have a point but it does connect two lines of the Elizabeth not to mention giving a double deck route to Newham hospital , if it wasn't for those two things there wouldn't be much point though

Yeah they had loads of them unfortunately because of there company suffering loads of route losses most of these didn't survive after 2020

@@DanielsUKTsome ended out with ensign bus with some going to independents dotted around the UK

Because of type training, route testing etc… for a start the BYDs are mirrorless and in all of those garages in most cases the rota and the spare drivers would be the only ones trained on mirrorless buses so yeah… and TfL are super strict on EV allocations too🥲

@ yeah that is true if it weren’t for TfL companies wouldn’t have cared

Now that explains why on some routes like the 262 these days extremely rare to see anything other than BYDs now
