I would rather been battling for top 3 like a few months ago, but at least my kart managed to keep up with the other racers this time.

I use to race there when it was Chicago Indoor racing, started doing the Adult GP in 2017

thanks, I started go kart racing back in 2006 in the junior league, when K1 was Chicago Indoor Racing, I started recording my gp races at K1 back in 2017.

I used my GoPro Hero 9, thats why the picture is really good, they allow you to use your gopro at K1 Buffalo Grove, its the only locaiton that lets you use you own cam thou, also K1 In Mokena, is the only other one that also allows you to use bring your own camra, no other k1s will let you use them thou, they make you use there K1 cams witch is not a good quality cam and it will record shaky video.

You're allowed to use your own camera for leagues.. just not for arrive and drive 🙂

This definitely wasn't your strongest race. Looks like the kart didn't pull as hard as everyone else's and everyone else had much tighter lines as well. Luckily you have these guys on video, so you can break it down and practice it when you show up next time. Keep it pushin, dude. You'll stay on top :)

for a second I thought I could get by, but then I ended up spinning out a racer, by accident, that gap I thought was big enough to pass, but I guess it wasn't.

kart 41 has never been good in gp races every time I had it, but yes it was a ok race last night

you're welcome, the karts where ok, its always different every month with the old karts that Buffalo Grove has, all the other locations have the new karts, but k1 in buffalo grove hasn't updated there karts since the beginning

since they were short of staff, they had GP voluntary racers to do the testing on the karts before the gp also, unfortunately, there was 14 karts on the track at once, so couldn't really put good time in .

1:20 it's tough for both drivers to stay side-by-side through this section Good on you for apologizing, and good to see the marshals yellow flag the race and reset the order correctly

@@AdmiralAl91 there supposed to let who ever gets spun out back in ther spot, and yes it is hard to pass races on some sections of the track, I always try to race clean as possible in all my races.

I still did ok in the gp, and managed to stay in top 3 in the 1st heat, I will see what happens next month? hopefully my kart is a little faster next time.

It all depends if you get a good kart or not, I been getting decent karts recently, but a few months before I got bad karts. hopefully I get decent karts again tonight for the gp, but I will find out when the gp starts later tonight around 6 30

I'm just glade I been doing good in the gp the past few months, hope I am able to keep doing good in the rest of the GP season, but I will have to see what happens in the future gp races this year, and yes it does feel good to get first, something that Rarely happens when I am racing in the gp races.

Thanks, hopefully I do just as good in April, but it all depends on what karts I get, they have a loto that they spin a cage with number balls, and what ever number you get that's the kart you race, so hopefully I get good karts again nex gp,I will see what happens.

at least its a 19.495, witch is the best time I think I ever got in the GP in kart 35, and is long ast its going to be in the 19.400s or 19.500s im happy, I just hate when I cant break 20s on the track, do to bad karts, but its going to be random karts i will be getting every gp, so I will see what happens, hopefully i do just as good next gp, but I will see what happens for the rest of the years gp races.

Everyone in my final race had low to mid 19s, it was a pretty even race this month.

The worker (friend of mine) actually apologized for crossing the track under green too slow, we all had a laugh about it after, no worries. I didn't realize it was that close though

I was racing my lines during the qualifying, unfortunately I was focused in lap times, and trying to take the lines I normally take during qualifying racing, and didn't see him till the last second, but glad my reflexes hit in at the last second and missed him, no one got hurt at all in the March gp race, and glad there wasn't.

My main racing location is k1 speed om Buffalo Grove, I been racing the gp adult league since 2017, and was racing the junior leagues when it was Chicago Indoor Racing in 2006, so I been racing go karts for 16+years, but my family took me to Accelerate on my birthday a few years ago and did some races there, glad I got to race there track, before k1 speed took over.

me to, but everybody gets a random kart, so who ever gets a slow kart has to race in it, unfortunately it was me this time

@@Bips_1 I been go kart racing since 2006 when K1 was Chicago indoor racing, so no, not really, I will just let off the gas a few seconds before the turn and glide thru, inless the kart dosent handel well like some times, then yes I will tap the brake comming up on a corner.

I thought Accelerate was a popular place, and was doing very well, didn't know k1 was going to buy them out, I went to race there for my birthday back in 2019, I would race at other kart racing locations, but none of them are close, and are very far away from where I live in Wauconda IL, k1 In Buffalo grove is the only track that is a half hour away from me, and is my permanent home track

@@PhillipMcGhieKartRacing yea it's a hour from me. We had our league celebration last night and went over the changes. None of us like the GP challenge. We like the 8 weeks take a few weeks off and start again. I'll probably only do the Jan and Feb challenges.

One of them was the guy I was battling with spinning and I had to stop hard because he was in the middle of the chicane, and then I got spun out with him because he was trying to retake me really hastily and didn't back out so I got spun around with him lol

There where 3 heats this month, 24 people showed up for the gp, I got low 20s in the final using kart 10, I don't remember the exact time I got in the final, I know I talked about the times in the first qualify at the end of it, but I didn't talk about the final I don't think, when I get home I will check them and then add it to the description.

I had a good kart that race, and yes it was fun, been doing the GP at K1 in Buffalo Grove since 2017, and was in a junior league back in 2006 when it was Chicago Indoor racing, so I been kart racing for a long time.

I was vs Eddie Saure the last few laps, I forgot to mention that in the dis, but I just changed it, and yes it did shake things up, and I got lucky.

You have to use there view point cam to record races, my home track in buffalo grove gives me special permission to use my GoPro in gp and public racing , but the buffalo grove track crew, would let anyone use there own cam for gp races only.

Also you other question, the GP sign in is at 6pm, and the GP starts at 630, the race goes on for at least 2 hours, but you will have to look up the K1 website go , to locations and pick Addison, they will tell you the info and times, I am a Buffalo Grove GP racer, so I dont know if there times are different or not .

Its really hard to maintain a line when you are in first, and every one is right behind you, hopefully I am able to have a better race in next gp

@@PhillipMcGhieKartRacing for sure, it can get pretty unnerving. Big thing is guard your position in the hairpin, especially if you're leading

I didnt notice the racer, I was just focust on keeping top 3, so I didnt know that intill you told me.

also yes I ended up getting kart #7 in the final race, it was a decent kart, and I managed to keep 2nd after I passed at the start.
