These mini apple pies are basically cute little pockets with a crispy crust, made with homemade pastry, and a fresh apple filling. And if you are health-conscious and afraid of that excessive oil from frying, DON’T WORRY, you can simply bake them in the oven and enjoy your-equally delicious-pies.
Ingredients:
Pastry:
∙ 400 g Flour
∙ 2 tbsp. Sugar (30 g)
∙ 1 tsp. Salt (5 g)
∙ 280 g Cold butter
∙ 160 ml Ice-cold water
Apple filling:
∙ 5 Granny Smith apples (600 g peeled and sliced)
∙ 80 g Sugar
∙ 40 g Brown sugar
∙ 1 ½ tsp. Cinnamon
∙ ½ tsp. Allspice
∙ ¼ tsp. Salt
∙ 2 tbsp. Lemon juice
∙ 1 tbsp. Starch (9 g)
Other ingredients:
∙ 1 Egg + 1 tbsp. Water (egg wash)
∙ 80 g Sugar (for sprinkling)
∙ 1 ½ tsp. Cinnamon
∙ ½ tsp. Allspice
