Well said. The video is really good. I really enjoy the NG+ of Lies of P. Especially, the fact it lets you customize your look a bit more. I do 'short gray' hair with the Workshop Workwear outfit. It's a very clean look.

Love this game. Easily on of the best games of 2023. It's a must play if you like good combat. Waiting for the DLC and sequel with great expectations. I think that the one thing that needs upgrading in the game is the level design. Just the physical layout of many of the levels seemed formulaic, one loop for collectables, one for the main progress, shortcut to boss. I think it's a consequence of trying to keep to a one star gazer per level. Game recommendation, if you like the parry heavy combat of Sekiro and Lies of P, try Nine Sols. You play as a ninja cat, he combat is super satisfying and the characters are engaging.

Oh YES! I completely agree with you, this Tomb Raider is amazing and it'll remain forever in my heart. I have so many memories with this game and I love and idolize this Lara so much, I can't simply put it into words. I have played it so many times and so many times have I enjoyed myself. I have so much to say and still I don't feel like it's going to be enough to describe my feelings and my experiences! The music has some pieces that I still listen to this day! Like the theme of croft manor, the theme of the game, the soundtrack of the first part of the England level, the soundtrack of Nepal. There's so much osts that I like, but those are just to name a few. Also, when I was a child I also had the same fear of entering the chamber where water serpent lies dormant. I always thought of it as something ridiculous because my parents acted as much, but now I'm glad there's someone who also shares the same fear😊.

It's crazy. Tomb Raider Legend is my least favorite Tomb Raider. (didn't play all of em). For me it's Rise of the Tomb Raider>TR2013>Guardian of Light>SotTR>Temple of Osiris>Underworld>Anniversary>Angel of Darkness>Legend (>Lara Croft Go>Relic Run wouldnt count it though as a mobile games)

Legend Lara was my childhood and I will always remember her fondly. But after discovering classic games, nothing was ever the same for me. Lara was a strong and independent antihero who did unethical and selfish things just for sport, having to save the world along the way. Legend Lara was a first attempt to try to make her more relatable and despite retaining some characteristics of Classic Lara, such as being sassy, ​​she still feels like a traumatic girl who wants to know what happened to her dead parents.

I really think the last "real" lara was the 2013 reboot. She was witty and funny then, while still being vulnerable and like depressed idk... after Rise they just made her another random white woman that just happens to steal artifacts (they removed her reading her thoughts on the artifacts which makes it feel like exploring and learning new cultures secondary to the last game) Tbh I still like classic lara, at least personality wise. It's funny how crystal dynamics are the ones crying about sexualisation of lara while making her wear that skimpy ass dress in underworld

is this the steam version? if so, I have it on steam.

I want someone who thinks this game is easy to try playing it on the hardest difficulty. The motorcycle levels and the last level will take hours I promise

Cool review of one of my favorite games (if not the most favorite). The annoying gameplay elements can be omitted completely in Switch/Smartphone remake, depending on the mode you play. The last annoying mechanic left is treasure box roulette, which can be turned off only if you beat the game once. But maybe we will convince Sting to give an option to turn it off from the start in the Steam release.

Locking the fps to 85 or less (for example trough the Nvidia control panel) gets rid of the animation and physics issues present in the Steam version

I my word, do we share the same brain? I couldn't agree more with this video. To me, Legend represents Lara Croft at her most beautiful, badass and charming. They took everything that worked for her as a character from the Core games and added smooth controls. I love the way the subtly updated the classic costume as well. And in my personal opinion, "Nepal 2" is a frickin MASTERPIECE of music. It's so beautiful.

I felt more like I was playing uncharted with an even more boring protagonist than Nathan Drake. Hope they bury the survivor Lara imposter and let it rest.

Great game! I had it on original Xbox as a kid and 360 now. Underworld is probably my favourite of the trilogy. I love the core games and the first reboot but I agree the reboot reboot trilogy ain't so great

Best incarnation of Lara Croft, absolutely! The gameplay in my opinion was not exactly perfect, but it had the best story (though I think it should have been concluded at the end of this game), music, admosphere, dialogue, and like I said: Lara. I'm kinda surprised you didn't mention Guardian of Light and Temple of Osiris. They're not entirely the same as a Tomb Raider experience, but they're good games and do have the true Keeley Hawes-voiced Lara Croft.

Great video, i rarely feel gaming nostalgia, because i have been playing league only from season 4 since this day. However ur video got me back in those careless times. My mother bought me this game and i was obsessed with lara. I was really sick and the only thing i was doing was to play this game on my laptop at the hospital and i will for sure comeback soon to play it again. I didn't know that it was a trilogy so i will play them all in the order you suggested. Thank you so much for this video ❤

Totally agree. Fans like to call it tomb raider light but it’s a great game imo. The London and Nepal levels are quite challenging. I love collecting the bronze, silver, and gold rewards to each level. Lars’s home is excellent in this game, especially the gymnasium part. Replay value is high overall.

Love TR legends

This one the first Tomb Raider that was made for a people who don't like to dwell in a tomb for 20 hours looking for an exit (you know, the ones who work all day, have families etc.). OG TR games was basically a dungeon crawler on steroids with some acrobatics, but this one gave me hope. And dammit Underworld ruined it. TRL made important move to move the game out of nerds' basement to light of day (just as Lies of P doing that to souls-like games now). Sad it was dropped and forgotten like it never happened.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was my favorite, I was disappointed with Shadow. I heard there were a lot of issues with development at Crystal Dynamics.

Legend always stuck out to me as one of the crowning games in the franchise, from a life long, OG Tomb Raider fan. Having played the reboots they honestly don't even feel like Lara Croft anymore... ALSO! I've got the original Legend on PS2, and it's flawless, whilst the Xbox 360 version, played on the Xbox One, is actually really buggy too?? Missing textures are everywhere, and one time Lara's outfit was just white. No texture, only white.

To save the new ones a bit, I like to believe that that Lara Croft became this one. So young version was new and not confident, she went through some crap and then became this one. I know it isn't the actual thing as they each have their own time-line for her, but look, it's the only way I can do it lmao
