I used to plug my dat into the back of my good friends taping rig at alot of Station Inn (and other Nashville venues) shows. I've got a buncha good ones from this era. Great introduction by JT Grey on saving WSM when they wanted to turn it in to a sports talk radio station. The people spoke and WSM was saved! "In 2001, management had sought to capitalize on the success of sister station WWTN's ...

Man Gilleys was a riot loved the place Texas was hoping with all the Yankees came to town OH yeah
Do you know how to make soundboard recordings?
You get the direct signal of the house mix from the board during the performance. It generally takes cooperation with a sound man.
I remember this one. This is a really rare one that not many people can get their hands on
14:40 Tim has Tony cracking up!
Any update on the George Jones concert?
@@GeorgeJonesArchive uploaded a George jones show tonight. It's not the one I mentioned. Still working on that one!
@ great!!!!
I'm speechless... Thank you for this.
So nice to be here! Thanks for your upload.
12:42 Tells a great story about writing Carey (which starts around 15:55)
W-I-G-H-T
Ha thanks!
Do you have any George jones recordings?
@@GeorgeJonesArchive still got my feelers out on that one. His computer with it is down. But I have a charger for it, we just have to get together.
@ sounds great!!! Please get together soon.
@@Ballhogmusic any update?
extraordinary lp! thanks so much for ULing
Thank you for posting!
You got some of the GREATEST bluegrass masters of all time. This footage is historical & it would be a shame to not share it with everyone who loves a lonesome holler.
I saw The Nashville Bluegrass Band play with Doc in 1991 at MerleFest. Perhaps this is it?
Makes sense that this is the Nashville Bluegrass band. But this is definitely from 2000.
Sam joking after something so amazing and Tony laughing along is perfect. They never took themselves too seriously.
It's very endearing.
Yes, please post them. It’s amazing history - with a lot of unique moments.
Thanks for these historical gems. Wonderful surprises.
Glad you like them!
Do you have any of George jones? Also, Willie is awesome!!!
i second that commotion .
I used to have an amazing George Jones bootleg, just audio. I'll look for it. When I say amazing.. not his best performance, but a fun listen cause of his "condition".
@ please find it. Do you have an idea of what year it was
Talked to a friend who has it on an old computer that we have to find a charger for but the wheels are in motion.
@ that is great! I’ll stay tuned to your channel. Keep up the great work!
I saw some of these guys (Stuart Duncan, Tim O'Brien I think) in London back in the day. Remember doing a body percussion workshop with Mark Schatz.
Awesomeness! Thanks for sharing!
Craig Smith is a fabulous banjo player.
Yes! Please post more. Merlefest is a special place.
God Bless this may be the last footage I've seen of John's years Thank you for sharing! if you have more......... :P
Yes!!!! I was there. I have photos from that night. I was standing a few spots to the left of the guy filming. So amazed to see this.
Very cool! Love to see the photos! I was there the next year when Dolly played.
The Cigarette Smoking Man is the Boss!!! 🚬☠ TRUST NO 1
Agreed! Best anti-villain ever!
This Was Really Refreshing! 🚬
I saw Bobby Brown perform at the Goleta Swap Meet in '83 or '84. His instrument (or collection of instruments) resembled an enormous loom. He was selling lps out of his van. I always regretted not buying one.
I met Bobby Brown when he played this stuff at Cal State Fullerton in 1972 or 73. I still have a vinyl copy of this album. It has some surface noise, but it's listenable. I wonder if it's worth anything?
Wow - is this an oroginal 70's pressing? Or a reissue? I didnt know these existed
Original pressing... I found it on ebay, I think it was around 50 bucks. Just found there are reissues available for $26 www.roughtrade.com/us/bobby-brown/the-enlightening-beam-of-axonda-gods-proof
i feel like i want to cry
Amazing album. It’s becoming one of favorites of all time. The way he creates a world with the sounds, his voice and the story. To sing with that kind of feeling and accuracy in the phrasing is incredibly difficult. It’s got to be a labor of deep spiritual love.
Thanks so much for the upload! can you tell me how and where you came to be the owner of these vinyl? Amazing stuff!
Ebay! A Danish friend of mine introduced me to him.
Early synthesizer stuff - I'm sure this was trend setting at the time. Too bad he didn't have the vocal processing equipment of today: more harmonies and top end would have improved the appeal for the masses. Obviously a self taught musician. A lot of this is simple stuff, but none of this doesn't mean it isn't entertaining. Best heard on headphones so you can appreciate some of the 'layers'.
What's crazy is there's no synths , some resonate pickups. At 2:27 there is an image of the description of his rig from the album artwork. This is mostly done live in a one man band format on a homemade rig.
Awesome vidd!
Keep on rocking in the free world brother! Yee-haw!
I want to go to Arkansas!
Good stuff Randy! I was in Stuttgart last week and I can attest...they do have plenty of ducks!
good job randy,good luck !!
Great to see another Nashville Hog in the contest! Best of luck!
