2:27 A boy. Named Tom Sawyer. Eat your pie. If anyone asked me because I haven’t read Tom Sawyer for school, my answer would be: “A boy that lived in a fictional town based on Hannibal, Missouri that liked to trick the other neighbor kids into doing his chores calling it a fun thing to do.”
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is an 1876 novel by Mark Twain about a boy growing up along the Mississippi River. It is set in the 1840s in the town of St. Petersburg, which is based on Hannibal, Missouri, where Twain lived as a boy. In the novel, Tom Sawyer has several adventures, often with his friend Huckleberry Finn. Originally a commercial failure, the book ended up being the best selling of Twain's works during his lifetime. Though overshadowed by its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the book is considered by many to be a masterpiece of American literature. It was one of the first novels to be written on a typewriter.
There actually is no such rule in English. It only came about because 500 years ago, some old guys in Britain got together and complained about it. They reasoned that since Latin sentences don’t end in prepositions, English sentences shouldn’t either, not realizing that both languages are entirely different
I love watching this again on TVLAND. It’s fun to laugh out loud at the brilliant writing and performances. I think Patty Heaton is the best at long silent glares that speak volumes.

Awesome show. Great cast.
Marie do homework for Ray
She has to, he’s clearly illiterate.
To most people, Marie is acting like a righteous prude; a grammar nazi. 😂😂

Tom Sawyer’s story is about the freedom and joy of childhood, before the cares and responsibilities of adult life take away the magic
I haven't read that book in years. We read the book in 2nd grade then our teacher showed us the movie. And I read it with my grandma in Russian.
There is more in life than just "Sports Books" Raymond! Hated Ray's attitude about books that a school assigns you to read.
😂😂😂😂😂
“Okay, so I ended my sentence with a proposition.” Yes Ray, you ended your sentence with an offer Marie couldn’t refuse.
