Hi. I use a Panasonic GH6 with a 100mm to 300mm micro four thirds. On the day all my footage was handheld, which was challenging. To edit the video, I store the videos on an NVMe SSD for a faster response and I used the free version of Davinci Resolve. The stabilisation tool was used extensively. Let me know if there is any more info you need.
@@007madcap the IBIS on the GH6 is nuts hey! I ran the A7siii with a 200-600mm. Wasn't game enough for handheld though haha. Rented a cine tripod which helped so much, but definitely difficult to keep up with the Raptors.
Yep, loving the GH6, bought it late last year as an upgrade from my G9. I do have a Manfrotto tripod with a fluid head for video capture, but didn't take it with me. The recording quality is set to FHD/50p 420/10bit/LongGOP and the VFR set to 300FPS, which is 16% slower. I can go to 25P at 300FPS which is then 8%, but found the videos to not be as "smooth" as 50p. One quirk, that was a little annoying at the start, is the video is recorded using H265, which Resolve doesn't like. It's a common problem, but I found a batch process to use FFMPEG to convert those videos to H264. Also I did experiment trying to write the HFR videos to an external SSD, but this became a bit cumbersome, so I bought a 512GB SABRENT CFexpress type b memory card. Videos write to the CF card and photos write to the SD card. Looking forward to seeing your videos!
@@007madcap very nice! The issue I believe is not actually h.265 related. The free version of Davinci Resolve does not support 10Bit video. So I believe FFMPEG would be changing to 8Bit, which is then readable.
