My name is Ben Reeves. I am a British-born travel writer and journalist, originally from Darkest Yorkshire and now living in Bangkok, Thailand. I have been an expatriate for my entire professional life - well over a decade now. Even before then, I was quite an avid traveller.​

While travel experiences differ enormously between a backpacker, a luxury traveller or a package holidaymaker, the difference in the experience of a destination is even more extreme between a local, an expatriate and a tourist. As an expat, I get something in the middle - not as deep as a local, but not as shallow as a short-term visitor. I also get some fun and exciting stories, which I’d like to share with you through this channel.
