    I had the same issue with the RTIC 30 after 7 years, but limited use. Seems to be a very common problem and I got the same response. I’m done with RTIC as well.

    Why take off the PTO generator.

    • @2awolf817
      @2awolf817 18 днів тому

      To run the PTO generator, it takes transfer switch, fuse panels and the truck running to make it work. We have a small gen to run the AC if needed. So we have no need for that monster. Lol. Thanks for the question.

    It's great to see your grandchildren are eager to help you & have a good mechanical aptitude. Eva is looking pretty sharp with your logo on the sides & it's always nice to get the little & big bulky jobs out of the way. Thank you for sharing the continued progress.

    Happy belated Father's Day to you also. I've been thinking about adding a DC to DC charger to my truck camper rig & after watching your video, it looks like a fairly straight forward insulation. Thank you for sharing your install.

    Congratulations on a successful first trip with your rig. Thank you for sharing the Lake Paho Conservation Area, I will definitely add it to my list of places to visit. I like the good sized dumpsters, because I like to go for walks picking up trash as a payback for the free campsite. Of course it would even be better if there wasn't any trash to pick up.

    She is looking really nice & thank you again sharing the build process. I can't wait to hear about the shake down run & to see the walk around video. It's cool to see the transformation of a work truck into a overlanding rig.

    Good idea. I’m starting to look for panels for my 08 Mega Cab. I’m starting to work on the cardboard templates, and looking for a CNC hydro jet locally. And don’t drive through construction sites in the southwest, the migrants will think you’re El Migra. By the way, Molle rhymes with Molly.

    I like the idea of a winch & brush guard, for the winch PTO or electric would be good. In the future if you have to run wires through your walls, I love my Harbor Freight fiberglass wire running kit. I've even used WD40 for a lube in the tight spots. Thank you for sharing your progress & it's really coming together now. Also good save on the battery hold down.

    Have you considered running a pto style winch? Not sure what engine/trans your running but on a truck of that type a pto should be a option.

    Hope you left some extra in the living box for the flexible exhaust pipe.....the frame is going to flex and the box is going to move which is going to cause problems with your pipe if you didnt.

    Nice plan for the bed build out & I like the idea of being able to reuse materials from the 2A Wolf truck. I also like the tall cabinet height, we put kitchen height cabinets in both of our house bathrooms & it's great. If you're looking for more ideas on the layout of the under bed water & electrical, "I ride" Tiny House Adventures on UA-cam also did a similar setup in their cargo trailer build. Also thank you for the shameless plug & good luck moving forward. I will be leaving Wisconsin this week & heading for the SW USA for the rest of the winter with my truck camper.

    Enjoyed the video. I was the person who recommended the name for the area. Found a Sullivan County history book at the library in Milan which listed the Union Ridge Post Office and a Union Ridge School close by. Later I think I found the site of the post office, but didn't find enough evidence to verify it. The probable site of the post office was located not too far from the lake on a ridge once called Union Ridge. I was the MDC District Forester of the Kirksville Forest District at the time of the purchase of the land in 1989.

    It's great to see the build progressing. I'm not familiar with heavy duty trucks, so this is just my thoughts on the rear wheels & tires. The super singles look super cool & you don't have to worry about getting rocks wedged between the duals, but if you get a flat with a super single your stopped. If you keep the duals & get a flat, you still have another tire to limp down the road on. With the tucking of the wire lume behind the wall, it will be harder to chase down issues in the future. If you run the wire lume through a chase way with a removable panel, accessing the wires would be easier. The 2A Wolf branding should look nice on the side depending on the new window size. Nice looking rig & thank you for sharing.

    This truck is under 26,000lbs. Not really worried about the weight. But still thinking if I should change out. I'm leaning not to do it. Thanks

  • @DerUnbbekante
    @DerUnbbekante 8 місяців тому

    UA-cam suggested me the first Part of this video series and I love it! Regarding the tires: I don't know the gross vehicle weight of your truck but I assume it is around 35.000 to 40.000lbs. In Germany many expedition trucks run construction truck tires. They are smooth on the highway, work well on rough roads, all with a big enough load index that you don't need to run duallys in the back. That's the best way in my opinion. If your truck is heavier a Michelin XZL has an even bigger load capacity.

  • @rossoliverius2301
    @rossoliverius2301 8 місяців тому

    Not too sure about the 'super singles'; heard they are very expensive. Duels can be repaired/replaced at most off-ramps fairly reasonably. Plus you can limp home singled-up in emergency. Just my 5 cents (adjusted for inflation) 🤣😁

It's great that you can take the best parts from both vehicles to have one ultimate vehicle. Congratulations on being the new caretaker of Eva & giving her a new & exciting life.
