I did honestly explain this to my 8 yo brother at some point. I firstly explained gradient descent. (By knocking him down hills in minecraft) Then I explained direction of gradient descent. (By knocking him into caves) Then I explained the stochastic bit. (By knocking him into other caves when he climb from a different path) Don't blame me for being mean, I was 16 hahaha

I do not understand the purpose of these phone lines. Like let's be real here, obviously the point is that they're trying to reduce phone traffic to their call centers, but is this accomplishing that? Fuck no. The volume of people needing to speak to a service rep doesnt change because they make it harder to talk to them, it just makes them angrier. Also there will guaranteed be more callbacks, because people dont have time to sit on the phone all day waiting through this so by the time they speak to someone they'll have to call back another time. So what this accomplishes is literally raising call volume and making call quality worse. If companies actually bothered to look past the superficial things and stopped just blaming the people answering the phones then they'd realize everything they do makes everyone's lives harder, including their own.

A Lot of people online and on articles/Website say AI is. ot capable of good common sense reasoning and this makes me question a lot of things specifically the fact when i ask ai to evaluate something and to give me its opinion it says something reasonable and when i ask it what it used it says it used common sense so is me agreeing with ai a sign that i have bad common sense since “ai is not capable of good conmon sense reasoning”
