How close is it to the beach?

he poor HHV Housekeepers finally got a settlement. Now lets see if HNL Airport food service workers get a pension written into their contract when it expires this month. Some workers at HNL have been paying Local 5 dues for over 20 years and won't get a pension for all their dedication n service in The Hotel n Travel industry here in "paradise". So what's wrong with this picture?!! :-(

Thank you so much !!! My family and I are staying there soon and heard horror stories. This is not ideal but not as bad as it could be. I hope I don't change my mind after the trip. I don't know enough about who is at fault but these things will ruin tourism. We are scheduled to arrive soon and were just now made aware of this. Too late to change travel arrangements now. I doubt if I will ever travel to Hawaii again. To expensive to throw all MY hard earned money away.

I work at the Hilton and 1800 of us are on strike. We will continue to walk the picket line until the greedy owners give us a contract we would be satisfied with!

I feel sorry for all the workers on strike, AND for the guests who've spent a LOT of $$$ to stay there . I've stayed at the HHV several times over the years , and know that it takes a LOT of people to keep the property looking nice and operating smoothly. I wouldn't want to stay there right now. I hope management comes to its senses and gives the workers what they are asking for.

As a kid when I would visit my dad who lived in Hawaii we would spend a lot of time at the beach near the rainbow 🌈 colored hotel. Thank you for sharing!! Brings back memories 🙏

Please explain why anyone would take these rides on overpriced, foolish routes on a mode of transport that takes you to the attractions outside the limited traffic areas? Doesn't it make more sense to spend 7 euro for the day and see it ALL in your own time?

If you ever get the opportunity to visit Japan please go! What an amazing country and people. And SO clean. A favorable exchange rate compared to the US Dollar at the moment can make Japan really affordable right now for Americans.

Is it, though? Potatoes can have blemishes and imperfections. It does have a vaguely roachy appearance, though.

Someone commented (then deleted I think) that it must have been a special promotion because all they could find was starting at $31/day. It wasn't a promotion, you need to find the shopping shuttle. It goes around Waikiki to shops and hotels, but you can literally get on and off all day and use it to get around! Even if you just ride the loop one time it's a nice way to get the lay of the land.
