I love TRiDENT but they are as overlooked as Aldious, except TRiDENT are releasing music fairly consistently at the moment. Asaka is a fantastic vocalist, Nagisa a great drummer and Serina a truly interesting bassist. The only thing they could use more of is catchy songs - some of their music takes a while to grow on you - perhaps they just aren't a "radio" type band and are hence only really appreciated by hardcore J-Rock/Metal fans, but to be fair, if you like Band-Maid, you can't really say TRiDENT isn't your thing or are lower quality. It's a funny old business. Perhaps that's the tour we need - Band-Maid and TRiDENT.

Cannot wait until you get to Coldrain. Vengeance it their most recent, and is used in an anime, but their song Mayday is by far my favorite. It's on everyone's play lists at the homestead here. Yet another amazing Japanese rock/metal band, features another Japanese metal artist Ryo from Crystal Lake 🤘😁🤘

I see you weren't ready for those *gals,* or _gyaru._ The video has 2 different styles of gyaru in there - the Heisei era (1989-2019) 80-90's style with the long nails, big hair and super tans, and the more toned-down Reiwa era (2020-Now) style. Hanabie pulls from both of those styles + other contemporary Harajuku street fashion for their look. Enjoy the ride with some more Hanabie. You won't find a bad song, only gems. 💎

Hanabie = ha-na-be-eh (with four sllables). The last syllable does not quite come naturally to English-speakers, but is pronounced more like a short "e" sound than a long "a" sound, though it actually lies somewhere in between (but closer to a short "e.")

Harajuku-core begins to make sense as an actual musical genre when you realize that just like the fashion it is named after it is all about mixing & matching all your favorite shit while throwing traditional rules out of the window. However unlike great many other attempts of genre mashing I've witnessed over the years - the metalcore scene included - Hanabie's songs don't feel forced at all. They ALWAYS feel organic so there must be SOME rules that Matsuri adheres to when writing the music. As someone who's been into the metal electronics crossover already around the time these girls were barely born (including producing the stuff) I'd honestly give a finger or two just to hear what goes through her mind when she's putting it all together...

Hanabie easily pronounced is 4 syllables. Us as english speakers see the -ie at the as "ee" but it is 2 syllables, "ee-eh" the i and e being pronounced as 2 distinct letters. Thus their name becomes "ha-na-be-eh". If these ladies are set to become one of your faves, as they are mine, they deserve their names pronouncing correctly. I'm not having a dig lol, it's all a learning curve! 😄
