One of my favorite high school shows. I'm glad to see such success in neighboring districts.
As someone in a fellow Texas school who was at this contest, I am so glad I got to hear this show in person. We were really busy cuz we were trying to meet up outside the dome, but god, it was such a good time. I loved going to BoA in Atlanta and it was by far my favorite contest I've ever been to.
We went to a contest with Clements last year and beat them by a few places, so using the transitive property if we had gone we would have been at finals as well. Too bad my new director won't let us go to super regionals until we make state :(. We still go to BOA Conroe though so it's pretty much small time BOA SA with the amount of competition lol. I go to James E Taylor btw. What school did you go to?
Not exactly sure this transitive property is true. Bands peak early or late in the season. Early success does not translate into later success. Likewise late success is not indicative of early success.
I most defiantly agree that band peak at different times in the season. However seeing as there was a two week span of time between the contests I'm not sure a whole bunch can change. The way i view it I'm seeing it as Clements got 7th and we beat Clements (not by much but still did), so the odds of us not making finals by 5 whole bands is unlikely. I marched in a band a couple of years ago that was the last band to advance to state in its area. A week later in the State Marching Contest, we beat out all the other bands by a significant margin. A lot can happen in a week, especially in two! But congratulations to you guys last season and best of luck this season!!
we showed a lot of emotion after that show which shows how much just performing meant to us.
What's with all the dislikes? Fantastic show from Cypress Falls this year, best one from them in recent memory in my opinion. Well deserved placement in Atlanta for sure.

Those are only some of the other students....most of the band said good things about all the the bands we saw...there's only a select few that are just down right disrespectful and deserve to get punched in the mouth...trust me..I go to school with them

No...it wasnt that..it was that after the placements were announced, some kids from cyfalls just started to bad mouth our band..

All y'all have to do now is to show class when achieving such an amazing goal...seriously, just because you beat another band doesn't give y'all the right to act such low class.
