SomeWhere-OverTheHill
Australia
Приєднався 27 лют 2019
In 1974, four friends and a dog journeyed around Australia in a Series 2 short wheelbase Land Rover and a 16ft Franklin caravan. Their adventures were filled with laughter, some tears, and a deep respect for pioneers and regional Australians, fostering a love for their country.
After 50 years, it became necessary to revisit portions of our journey to evaluate the impact that time and various governmental decisions have had on our freedoms and liberties to enjoy our beautiful nation.
The demise of prosperous country towns and closures of natural resources due to indigenous claims have been observed at various points.
I hold great respect for indigenous communities. We have had the privilege of staying with many welcoming indigenous groups who demonstrate self-respect, respect for others, and sustain themselves by sharing their resources. They uphold the belief that we are all Australians, regardless of our history or skin colour.

Millstream NP- Marble Bar WA Ep9
The east Pilbara, earths oldest geological landscape, holds harsh barren beauty that encapsulates your gaze to ransom, white gums stand sentinel in gullies signaling pockets of underground water.
The eagle scouts the lifeless landscape for an unfortunate marsupial or reptile, the mirage of the shimmering gibber plains- this is the Pilbara-this is Australia.

COSSACK WA

Staying in Dampier, we decided to go for a back track drive to Cossack to the historic pearling town. Some of the buildings have been restored but as usual a lot of money and time spent to be locked up and not used. Would be an ideal place for a camp, there is a boat ramp onto a river and open to the ocean, a great beach and the buildings would be ideal for cafe/ restaurant.

They settled where no white person had been before them. First in 1867 Patsy Durack led his family to outback Queensland where they prospered despite regular drought periods. Then they speculated on land in the distant remote Kimberley area In mid-188...

Pretty country,
Thank you for your comment, and yes the red dirt and the stunning rock formations ignite the love for this country in one's soul. The only disappointment is how many places are being closed off due to political issues.

Interesting vidio not like mine where I take the viewer through everthing you opted for a more arty approach with all the drone footage
I saw this place in 1981, there were were BSA Bantam motorbikes lying in the long grass in the frontyard.
