Freight Trains at Whitstable and Herne Bay for complete Track Relay 21/11/20
On the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of November Network rail carried out a full track relay between whitstable and chestfield and swalecliffe including digging right down to the clay and mud and putting completely new sand, ballast and track down in replacement. This was a continuation of a track relay done the week before nearer to whitstable station which i couldn't see much of due to working but i managed to film this on my week off from work.
This video includes shots of freight trains arriving and leaving the engineering possession including GBRf class 66743 in Royal Scotsman livery along with Colas Rail Freight's 70811 which is a rarity down in Kent so it was a nice change. Also included is clips of work being carried out and idle shots of the loco's. I hope you all enjoy this different kind of video, Thanks for watching!

A compilation of special workings and freight trains seen on a trip on the WCML at Hemel Hempstead and cheddington on the hottest day of the year with temperatures in the mid 30's it was definitely a hot one. HNRC 37610 in it's BR Blue livery, on lease to colas rail freight, is seen slowing approaching Headcorn before receiving a clear signal and thrashing it's way through working 0F84 Tulse Hill - Ashford Up Sidings on driver training/route learning. Cheers to the driver for the tones!

DB Cargo 67021 67024 are seen passing through Whitstable with nice tones from the driver at the helm who also turns on the cab light when passing too working the Time Traveling Belmond British Pullman that leaves London Victoria in 2019 and arrives back in 2020, a long time to get to Kent and back :P

I might have seen one as a kid but I was a 507/508 guy, and by looking at this I really feel bad for 313/0's because they weren't looked after. The livery was great but with white spots on them after possible vandalism, the front indicated that it wasn't modernised with the headboard being paper instead of electrical equipment. Southern took care of theirs but ripped the pantograph off, removing the only reason of why the train was a success.

Yes, the 313's were not too popular on Southern's Coastway services, as they replaced Electrostars, which had more comfortable seats and on board toilets, but I think they're sadly missed on here, as the replacement 717's are effectively clones of the "Ironing Board Exoress" trains used on Thameslink, albeit with phone chargers throughout!!
