The repair that I made worked for a while and unfortunately, I think the repair may not have lasted or my thermostat has been lying to me and the car is been running hot. I think I’ve blown head gasket again, but I’m not sure whether it’s the head gasket or the crack repair. I’m thinking that the crack repair may not have lasted my biggest fear, though is that I’ve cracked the head. One more paycheck and I can get another car so that I can work on the Volvo. I’ll let you know how it goes. Keep me posted about your repairs as well. Thank you for replying friend.

@@fromstreettostraight what characteristics have you been feeling after the crack? I notice that my car misfire for 2-3 seconds in the morning, but the water drops very little, maybe a cup every 1000 miles...but running, it doesn't mistfire, and I don't see bubbles in the reservoir with it on!

I got mine for $119.99 at nvx.com. I had 2 kicker 10’s my friend let me borrow, while I waited for my return subwoofer. They had a little bit of a punch, but my 29hz box with that subwoofer from NVX hits the Lows so hard. I will make a video as soon as I can showing the speaker flex in the box. Stay tuned for that.

What does that mean…? It’s definitely not a promo is an amplifier my buddy let me borrow and then I ended up breaking on my watch, so I feel obligated to fix it.

That was my same exact question to my mechanic who did the actual work? He’s also a good buddy of mine. I just sent him a question on messenger for you. I’m not sure if he JB Weld first and then put in the shims or did he insert the shims and then the JB Weld. I’m waiting on a reply. I’ll let you know as soon as I get an answer. But from my understanding, he cleaned the crack really well with acetone, and then smashed the JB Weld in with his thumb as hard as he could. I also noticed that he wasn’t shy with the amount. It was reduced after it had set with a ball hone.

Jb weld, then shim while its still wet.. that way the jb weld makes it into the crack more :)..... the shim then pushes the crack back together then the jb weld sets

Info on the ball hone? Also any updates? I'm about to start this exact repair myself and would like to know more info if possible.

@@fromstreettostraight oh shit, sounds great. i got a 3" high catted from revolv and 2.5" duals with down turned pie cuts. 2 vibrant ultra quiet resonators and a vibrant bottle. full stage 3 with k24 hybrid and every supporting mod possible lol. these 5 cylinders sound so friggin good with an exhaust.

@@Swedishfish42069 how’s the K24 hybrid holding up? I heard that they’re very very hard to balance which means they start getting shaft play quicker than usual. How many miles do you have on it right now and have you been able to check shaft play since installation

@@fromstreettostraight it was VSR balanced - i had duke city turbo bricks do it....solid track record with these turbos..also has an upgraded thrust bearing. its holding up great so far but also WG is turned way down while i wait on the tune - so its actually doing less than a stock k24 would for now... my buddy read another customers flow from the MAF for the 71mm hybrid and saw 1400kg flow which is preeeety solid. should be able to get like 400whp. many people have ran these nicks k24 hybrids for a long time with success.

It’s a Auto I like the autos because I don’t ever have to replace a clutch and I can shift between gears without getting out of boost. It’s the stock K 24, turbo 3inch all the way back to four 4inch stainless tips. No cats no muffler. Just o2 bungs😆

I was running the GLH23 with a walbro wt668 carburetor and the manifold is an “rc” manifold from Daves discount motors a.k.a. DDm.com in the video. Now I run a G290 with the stock walbro wt990 and an rc manifold which comes stock on the engine.
