Love it!
@@Jon-G heyyo! Minnesota nice!
Great!
Bravo! And right handed!
Wonderful! Well played! 👏🏼👏🏼
Good~~~~~
Personal and beautiful execution! Well done Adam! 👌👏👏
I always look for choro played on electric, and i think telecaster is a good choice. Seems like you are from US, so how do you know Garoto? Congrats
@caballero75RS hey thanks.. yeah honestly it's probably more difficult to play some of this stuff on electric or archtop though you can get some nice contrasts.. geuss i heard abou garoto from hearing "lamentos no morro" and then from studying the wonderful paulo Bellinati transcriptions/recordings..
love this song. nice cover!
Thank you very much!
I really liked it, what pedal are you using for those notes with a long sustain?
Thank you.. it is a game changer plus sustain pedal.. it looks like a piano pedal.. good idea
Very nice flow! 👍
Nice work.
love it
Rad. Do you have any originals too?
Thanks! yes I have an album of orginal compositions available on bandcamp: adamrea.bandcamp.com/album/dance-machine
love this🙌
first. also, sounds amazing!
DUDE!!!!! Wow is all I can say. I didn't know if it was maybe too mainstream for you or what. Not that a Hoagy Carmichael song from the 20s could be mainstream but you know. Maybe standard is what I'm thinking of. You don't seem into standards but I'm sure you know them. I original fell in love with the Willie Nelson version on the album Stardust. Then I heard Nat King Cole's version and I didn't even realize it had a first verse because Willie starts it on "Sometimes I wonder..." Nowadays I prefer instrumental and I do my vocal lines in my head. Seriously man, thank you. This is awesome. If you're ever in Minnesota, you have a place to stay and the first round is on me. Cheers
Yeah man! Good to hear from you and really appreciate the suggestion and reminder. I feel like standards take a while to learn well since there are usually so many different versions of one song and they tend to either get watered down or just slightly change over the years. I still play alot of them at Jam sessions every week and been meaning to record way more solo guitar versions for the Lords of You Tube. Wanted to let you know I have a record up on Bandcamp now also: adamrea.bandcamp.com/album/dance-machine The band is good and it took a long time to mix so the levels are totally profesh. There is probably too much explaining of the actual songs on the page, so I would recommend just listening for yourself. Good to know you are in Minnesota. If you ever find yourself in Oregon, you've probably made some questionable life choices, and let me know anyway!
Yeah I've heard all kinds of crazy versions of this song. There's one from the 40s where it's like a choir and there's singing one quarter note after another for the "Sometimes I wonder" part. Some-times-I-won-der-why-I-spend-the-lone-ly-nights. Sinatra's got a version that has absolutely zero heart. The singer has to have softness and pain in their voice like Nat King Cole and Frank sounds like he's yelling at a hoo-er when he "sings" it. I hear you on the different versions. I have every Billboard Hot 100 song and the charts go back to the 40s when they started keeping track of that stuff. Most years of the 40s and 50s there are 3 versions of the same song that made the hit parade that year. I listen to the old stuff a lot. Sometimes I like to cue some raging hits from the 40s and juxtapose them with stuff from the 80s and 90s and even the 00s. I'm rambling here but the 80s were the peak of diversity in pop music. The 90s was a slow death and from the 00s on, it's been 99% trash. I'm talking about popular music (Hot 100) not all music. AAAAAnnnyway..... Thanks again for this. I love how you slip in and out of the straight tune and just when I think you've totally lost me, there will be a run of notes I recognize and as soon as I have it in my grasp again, it's gone... until the next time. Real heady version, Love it man Dude you know I love some profesh levels. I'm headed over to bandcamp now. Late
?????
I'm sure I've asked you this before but I'd love to hear you play Stardust. That's my favorite song. No joke.
Damn it takes a lot of patience to play that song..... I tried anyway just posted
the great! M. Carvin!!
Notes?
Great stuff man!
This is awesome, The Rockford files will always be one of my all time favorite shows
I've got to think somewhere James Garner is sparking up a joint and smiling as he listens to your rendition
Good job!!! That's a busy song
holy cow incredible
I like your tone☺️
beautiful
Awesome playing: just subscribed to your channel
<3
You sure like yourself some Joe Pass don't you? But seriously, this is incredible!
It's so beautiful!
Bravo!
Enlightening! I've been working on a chord melody arrangment for Stella, I might borrow a few of your ideas! Also, question is this the Excel or the premier model?
Rad playing!
u got the tabs or sheet by any chance
ethaniverson.com/original-sheet-music-of-two-dozen-jazz-standards/ This is one of many standards where the "changes" people usually play on them today are slightly different from when they were written. You can learn alot from looking at old piano arrangements featured in this link. With Stella by Starlight you can look at these old chords and listen to pre-1958 (pre-miles) versions of this tune to get a sense of the "original" changes (and original key of g maj)
@@ragingbullfrogs I've been looking for the original changes for a while now. That's why I was so amazed when I saw your vid. Thanks a lot for responding.
very nice
Cool
Nice bro... and that's honest. Now I know how it's done after seeing it with a slide.
Awesome! My favorite tune!
Some seriously smooth stuff here man, nice work. I'd love to hear you take a run at Stardust. It's probably my favorite song of all time. It's trippy to see it as left handed too. Keep up the good work. Great job!
Thanks Jon.. Yeah that's a good one for sure..Still have your OG 90s boom box..
@@ragingbullfrogs Yeah Stardust is amazing. I've tried to learn it but those jazz chords and quick changes are beyond me. I must have given you that boom box when I got run out of town by my psycho "friend." Good times. I actually reconnected with him a few years, went to visit him and almost the exact same thing happened again. #neveragain I think I've told you this before but if you're ever up in Seattle it's my treat. Cheers man
