      it's not really a specific stitch. it's just a stitch combo I made trying different stitches to see what would look good. thank you for watching and asking:) i'm commenting from my new channel @shezcraftzee. on this very new channel i have started to share my knowledge of paper crafting and how to use the amazing cutting machine StarCraft SOLO

    Can someone explain why she started with TSS on the second decrease row and not TPS, like on the other rows? I really want to make this and I don’t get that.

    • @thecrochetlady
      @thecrochetlady Місяць тому

      The reason we start with TSS on the second right side decrease is because you’re yawning over and pulling through three loops so one of the stitches that you would normally make is not there anymore because you made the decrease. In order to keep the stitch pattern, you have to crochet whatever stitch would be next. ❤

      @@thecrochetladyThanks so much! So where do I look to find out what is next if I haven’t been doing the pattern? Is it based on where I ended with the previous row?

    For the closure I slipped stitched the inside strand of each side(only one strand each side) and at the end before fastening off I chained 8 and then fastened off and weaved in ends. It makes for a flatter and more invisible seam and you don't have to have so many add-ons and fasten off places. Thank you for the awesome video and clear instructions. Now I don't know which I like better; this way to make a pot holder or the thermal stitch. 😄 Thanks again and happy crocheting.

    That is not a tunisian simple stitch. You are picking up the frint loop along with the front bar. With a simple stitch, you only go behind the frint bar on your forward pass. You even have a simple stitch tutorial that fies that. I think this video could confuse a beginner.❤

    Hi, I know this is an older video but hoping you can help me with the method one would use to work this in equal rows vs c2c. I made a lovely shawl with this and just love it, so hoping to make a blanket but I would prefer my stripes in rows vs diagonal. Would I just start row 1 all TSS, row 2 TSS/TKS/TRS, row 3 TKS/TRS/TSS, row 4 TRS/TSS/TKS (repeat rows 2-4)? Or does this "stack" the opposite way and I would work row 2 as above, then start on reverse, then start on knit? That's probably confusing but hopefully makes sense. This is a really unique stitch repeat from what I have found - if this repeat has a "standard" name, please let me know!

    Does anyone know why she doesn't chain at the start of the return pass? I ask because I've been having some tension issues there.

      @thecrochetlady 7 місяців тому

      You always have the option to create a chain if that is your preference in crochet. Some stitch patterns I do have a chain at the return pass, but on some I don’t. I learned both ways but just do what’s comfortable for you ❤️
