For my last round of 2024 I did the challenge posted by Bodanza and Eagle McMahon where Circle 1 is OB except for the bullseye (9 meters) off the Tee or 2nd shot on par 4s, When putting Circle 1 becomes fully OB. It is a wild challenge that forces you to be either super accurate or hit long putts, or both! It was actually a really fun challenge and I had a blast! Some holes get high scores quic...

Missing the best OS approach...Kastaplast Jarn
I have a Jarn, I'll do a larger comparison of these at some point. The Jarn and Savior feel a little faster to me than these.
great review, great shots to show the flight!! Thanks!! IDOG is going in the bag after i throw one I can see my future... $1M Question, are you a #bergbros
Yep, see my review for the Range vs Berg! I agree though the IDOG is going in the bag.
MVP manufactures Remix Discs.
@@thejasonblackburn yes, also TSA and Mint, which is why the Votum, Grackle, and Troll are the same disc.
Runway gang.... I mostly throw forehand and it gets me around stuff while going farther than the deflector.
Yeah I had a cosmic neutron one I beat to hell and it was great at this. Deflector is kinda a utility disc for like in the woods chop forehands or something.
I don’t know if you cover this in another video but I actually bag none of those. The remix battleship found its way into my bag and I love it. Super cheap yet premium plastic, feels and flies great. I highly recommend.
The battleship is the Mint Bobcat which I covered in part one. Great disc, very overstable and MVP plastic is so good. The Runway in this video is very similar to the battleship, same plastic and flight.
Hope this Channel gets big!
Appreciate the thought!
If you ever come down to Colorado Springs, I would love to play a round at some courses here!
I need to get down there and play those courses!
@@supaflashdiscgolf237 come on down
Nice vid! I tried a Glow Loft Silicon the other night but found it too deep for my liking. I'll have to hold a Neon next time I visit the store. I'd like a glow Berg X but I've already spent on other discs this holiday season.
Like a zone ?
@@alexmojtehedzadeh315 kinda, less glide and a bit slower, plus the anti dome makes the hand feel a bit different but once I got used to it I love it. It flies like a zone that goes less far
Great camera view of the sunset at the end. Beautiful evening.
Thanks! So nice to have that kind of day in December!
“Tyler gave me aids”
That Crave and Detour are great!
It's nice to hear your thoughts and see some actual flights. Thanks for the comparisons!
Nice! Last year it took me a long time to get around to actually trying all the discs I was sent, so this year I did the same as you and immediately went out to play a round with them. Glad someone else got this idea because I was thinking it'd be a cool idea for a youtube video too. Thanks for sharing
Nothing beats a beat in pd
Love the fact you are in Altitude. It makes disc selection so different.
It definitely does. That's my goal of this to show how stuff flies up in the thin air :) I can definitely see how many may find these too understable, but up higher levels these drivers are so good. Put a little hyzer on them and they are pretty money.
@@supaflashdiscgolf237 I'm in CoS if you ever wanna come down for a round. Have some fun courses here.
@@supaflashdiscgolf237 It's so hard to say whether people would be happy with the stability on these without actually throwing them. MVP definitely has had some variation between the Trail runs, as you touch on around 7:30. Brook Arnold had a video on it too. e.g. My first Trail from drop 2 had more right to left movement than a 10|5|0|2 Vulture - I like it well enough for what it is that it bumped my previous slightly overstable driver, but what it is surely isn't neutral. Then I rolled the dice on getting a second one from drop 3, and the second did have that advertised true neutral flight.
@@xcfjdyrkdtulkgfilhu Yeah, they've had some odd consistency across runs this year. I picked up some early neutron Wraths and Servos and they were very gummy and very flippy, like the Neutron was a new mix. The trails I have all feel like normal neutron, but definitely had some different stabilities. I hope eventually they release it in more plastics like proton and eclipse and the consistency gets better. I'm sure that moving into their new facility has caused some issues and they are still dialing it it. I have a feeling that the trail was so popular that they quickly ran some more and they came out slightly different. Personally I like when you can get a disc with slight stability differences in different plastics, you can kind of dial it to your need and preference, but I know it can be frustrating for people looking for a specific flight to the numbers.
Enjoyed the vid! This is my local course. FYI for next time - there is a mando right on hole 8 at the tree in the middle of the fairway to the right of the log pile that your first drive ended at. (You had the right idea with the turnover , just have to get it past that tree before it comes back, or lay up with an easy forehand)
Thanks! I think I can see the mando sign from the T pad video lol. I think the FD1 shot might have made it, but yeah my layup putt was no bueno for the mando.
I am a Silva Saarinen collector. We named one of our new kittens after her. I missed out on the Turkuu Open Pyro, and I am desperately looking for one. If you are ever looking to sell it or trade it, please let me know. Nice video that came across my feed today and saw the disc in the thumbnail. Hope you keep making videos.

No buzzz os?
Didn't have one. May try to get one in part 2.
My understanding is MVP's goal for the Axiom SimonLine Balance is to fill that slot between Hex & Pyro, granted their Prototype version is OS like the Pyro. I'm confident MVP will get it right. Meanwhile Mint Taco, TSA Crux, and Remix Gladius can fill this middle-ground between stable to overstable midrange quite nicely; these are beaded midranges. All MVP made, too.
Yep, they announced the Balance just after I filmed this. I have a Taco and Crux ready to go for part 2. Seems like the balance will be the Ranco Roc/ RocX3 for MVP.
Appreciate the very thorough review.
Stokely Disc hahahaha Cardinal hahaha Throw Those.....in the Trash Scott Chokely Never Won Anything Sucks at Disc Golf.....his Disc are a Joke among disc golf retailers 😂😂😂
I've been looking for a mid that can take the torque of a forehand that doesn't have a huge fade. Those Roc's looked interesting.
Have you ever tried forehanding a roc? I personally think it might be the worst feeling frisbee, but that might just be me. Can recommend something like a beat in caiman or matrix/reactor. I personally just use a beat in zone-type disc
@@luryas626 I have the RPM Kea as my "zone" type disc but they are not gliddy at all. I guess if i don't like the hand feel of the Roc it can just go into the pile of shame with the other discs that haven't made the bag 😅
Verdict is what your looking It's more stable than the Zone.... I can roll a Verdict 300+ and use it for my forehand approach Zone is good and can be almost effective as a Verdict but doesn't roll that great
I like the KJ Halo Roc a lot, but I do have a hard time getting a clean release on it forehand. I actually cut out footage of an RPM Kotuku because I had the base plastic and it was a little beat in and I didn't feel like it was a good representation, but that one might be a little more what you are looking for. Its more comfy forehand and doesn't fade super hard. I will have a premium version of one in my part two of these mids. But you might also want to take a look at the Matrix, super comfy, stable but not a big fade.
@@luryas626 I kinda feel the same way. Though my backhand grip I just fan grip mids and Rocs feel fine there, but I definitely struggle with them forehand.
Berg is Life! K1 Soft and Glow are awesome. Wanna try a K1 Soft Glow
Love this, Altitude nakes disc selections such a PITA
Nice Ace!! You're so dang consistent with all those discs
Definitely the discs :D
agree, very impressive with the consistency!
Hope you're liking the mini I made you. About arm injuries, I went lefty after tearing a tendon in my left arm, it didn't take as long to learn lefty than I thought it would. Lefty ambidextrous would be lethal.
I love it! It's amazing craftmanship! I've thought about learning lefty when I hurt my shoulder but now it just seems to be an overuse issue. I plan on training it and balancing it a lot this offseason. I may have to take some time off from throwing, but honestly putting seems to aggravate it more.
Nice video! Enjoying this watch. Erie is a great course thanks for the upload
Just watched as a refresher to the course as I'll be out there in a few weeks. I've played it dozens of times since they first introduced a course a the YMCA as I've been going there for 35 years. There have a been a few changes over the years as the YMCA has expanded and changed buildings/roads. I really wish they would make hole 18 end somewhere near hole 1. Keep up the good work on making videos.
Have you filmed at the Harlow Platts course?
I have, just need to edit it when I get time.
I’ve been there! Me and my dad love this place! Definitely recommend.
I love this course. I played all the time, but left for Maryland six years ago to take care my father. I'll be returning to Boulder later this year. I like the changes they've made. My only ace so far was on hole 16! Thanks for the video!
Welcome! It's even a bit better now, they have a constant influx of mulch to keep the grounds less muddy and make nice greens, the island on 16 is more built up with tree stump rings around it, 11 has an elevated pin now on top of a large rock. It's still Valmont but its a great place to play.
@@supaflashdiscgolf237 I like that wooden-pole mando. It looks like a pagoda. Fun. I can't wait to get back to it this year.
Hoping to eventually work with City of Lafayette to bring back the original 18 design, but with a few modifications that keep us well clear of the houses. This course is walking distance for me, and it's a shame nobody plays it because of how impractical anything but the loop of 5 plays. Most of us play 3-7,4-7 as a nine hole loop, because 1-2, and 8-9 take just as much time to play as the 5 hole center loop.
I agree, there is a lot of potential with it. Let me know if you need help working with the city or volunteering. I have some ideas, that back part by the pickle ball courts could be really cool.
Johnny Roberts would be a good one to document as it's the most played course in Colorado according to UDisc and top-3 in the country for foot traffic.
I plan to, just every time I'm there its so busy. Hard to film, but I'll get it soon.
@@supaflashdiscgolf237 yeah, only really available on weekdays during work hours, otherwise it's packed. Or on bad weather days.
Looks real fun
Course looks fun
It is a really solid course, wish it was a full 18 but it is a good challenge, lots of length and shapes for a park course.
Wanted to show my friend from out of state Valmont, loved how you showed the sign, the line, with everything that's up to date (although 16's island is now smaller and more lofted so it doesn't allow as many skips, and the guardian tree is gone now at 12. Good playing with ya earlier!
Glad it helped! I have been debating reshooting this since the changed and having a better mic.
4th subscriber. I like your insights on the holes but your intro was hard to hear because the music you added was competing with your speech.
Yeah, The audio was pretty bad regardless, I tried to cover a little of the background noise. I didn't have a good mic when I shot this. I have a lot of vids coming and finally got a good mic, just need some holiday time to sit down and edit finally.
Awesome!
I love playing this course. Props for getting the footage. -4 is certainly very impressive out there
